Someone was shaking me, shaking me to wake up.

"Princess Aria, we have arrived at England." My nanny said, rushing around the cabin that we had been given by the captain. I slowly, got up and looked around, remembering everything that had happened. The barbarians that had taken over our kingdom...

My mother..

My father...

My brother...

I was the princess of Arabia- the rulers of one of the largest empires in the world, well at least it was. They had come in the middle of the night, the night after my brother's coronation, and nobody was prepared for the attack. But somehow, my nanny had managed to sneak us out of the palace without anyone knowing, thought I'm sure they know now that I am missing. I don't know if my parents and brother are still alive, Nanna doubts it but tries not to show her guilt in knowing this.

Nobody on this ship knows who I am, and they never can. They never will. As Nanna packed up all of our things, I began to get ready. I had to wear something that wouldn't bring too much attention, but not knowing what was going on, I just grabbed a few gowns, and of course they were made of fine silk.

"Princess, do not worry, nobody will know who you really are...", Nanna looked like she was about to say something else, but she refrained from this.

"Nanna...." I urged her, "What is it?"

She looked around as if somebody would be able to hear us. "Your father knew that something like this could happen, so he told me to contact the Duke of Cornwall to help us."

My heart stopped slightly. My father had known this whole time that something bad was going to happen? Why didn't he stop it? Could he stop it?

"The Duke of Cornwall? I've never heard of him before."

"He was one of your father's close friends, he did lots of business with him. In fact, the Duke of Cornwall was how your father met your mother."

Never before had I been told this information, but it did make sense, my mother was half-English and had ties to the Royal family.

Before we could discuss this any more, a bell rang on the deck, signalling that we had reached the port.

Coming up to the deck, I took a look at the English skies, my new home, for now at least.

"Aria?" I turned my head to meet with a man, around the same age as my father with a white snowy beard.

I approached him cautiously, "Duke of Cornwall?"

"Yes, please excuse me for not calling you by princess or bowing, I understand that we are not trying to draw any attention to you, so I thought this would be best."

"Of course, thank you, Nanna has just told me how good friends you were with my parents." I said, trying to give a smile.

"Yes, we were very good friends, I am very sorry about everything that has happened. I have sent out some of my envoy's to go and search for them and there whereabouts."

I didn't know what to say, I had never met the Duke of Cornwall and already he was doing more than anyone else back home.

"Thank you very much, I appreciate everything you have done."
He nodded and carried on, "now, I thought it best if I take you to court, this week is the Queen's birthday celebrations and nobody will make a big deal out of your arrival as so much will be going on."

"If you think that is best Sir than please, lead the way."

Leading me to the carriage, we proceeded to make our way to court. I barely knew what a court would be like.
