NINTH CHAPTER

Right on time when I walked out the school doors, instantaneously shielding my eyes with my hand to protect them from the angry sun trying to barbecue me, I found him.

My lips instantly curved in a smile.

He was right there waiting for me, causally leaned against his dark blue truck, looking down in his phone, scrolling over something, and giving no shit about the girls undressing him with their eyes only couple of feet from him.

Just then my phone buzzed in the back pocket of my jeans and I knew he'd just sent me a text. I grinned.

But, I couldn't find in me to pull my phone out and reply.

My feet decided to stay frozen ten yards away, admiring his beauty.

And my eyes were glued to him, I couldn't even blink at my own will. I only gawked at him, openly, almost like any other girl in the parking lot.

Like really ogled at him.

And the first thing that made my heart skip a beat was the fact that Ky wasn't wearing his glasses-- he never took them off, not really.

He wasn't wearing any of his usual t-shirts. He wasn't looking like Kyle at all. Or maybe he was looking more of the Kyle that ever I got to see.

This Kyle had a red and blue cap-- placed backwards on his head. The strands of his dark hair peeking out and resting causally on his forehead. The button down black shirt was perfectly hugging his broad shoulders and toned packs, putting them kinda on red carpet. His dark jeans rode dangerously low on his hips. His cheeks were flushed light shade of crimson probably from the heat and...

Shit!

He caught me.

He's smirking now.

My cheeks burnt immediately and I nervously took a step back once locked my eyes with his, making my heart stop functioning at all.

I couldn't breathe.

He looked breathtaking. Ironic huh?

He's my best friend!!!!!

But, he's sooo hot....

Ugh!

I'll prefer a no risk friendship with him rather than a highly risky relationship...

Yeah!

With that dangerous smirk still stuck on his cherry lips, he leaned off the truck and strode towards me.

With few long strides, he was right in front of me and the strong and sweet cologne of his mixed with his own honey and vanilla scent, sent my head in for a spin.

My heart was beating so loud, my stomach was feeling funny. I swallowed hard and gazed in his amused-- caught me off guard while checking him out-- eyes. He pressed his fingers underneath my chin-- which was hanging low-- and unexpectedly leaned into me, making me hold my breath and biting my tongue from gasping out loud.

Tingles and goosebumps appeared on every inch of my burning skin when his lips brushed my ears ever so delicately. "Where's he?"

I sighed, breathing him in. I wanted to throw my arms around his neck and then... Jesus!
