Chapter Fifteen

A/N~Enjoy :D Not gonna lie, Wattpad pissed me off a bit with the last chapter. There were some things that were meant to be italicized and some in bold but it took it all out. Now I have to do it all over and I'm simmering silently haha

******But moving on! We reached the 30 votes today so I posted early :) I want to thank everybody that voted. Without you guys, I wouldn't continue the story :) I'll continue with what I did before, I'll post the new chapter right away as well if this reaches 30 votes. If I don't reach it, it's fine. I'll update on Saturday :) not August 2nd, the Saturday after that :)

Make sure you guys read Maximus by vvonderlxnd! Really good story so far and the author is a really talented and cool person :) she also just released a book called Fated. I think that one is my favorite by her but both stories are really good! :)

~Chapter Fifteen~

For the remainder of the day, I stayed inside my rooms. I had considered returning to the library but I had decided it would be best not to.

Instead, I stayed in our sitting room and watched T.V. When it was getting close to dinner time, I ate quickly and retreated to the bedroom. I didn't want to be anywhere around Aleksandr and I knew he would be arriving soon. He always made it a point to watch me eat but I wouldn't give him the chance. Once more, I went to sleep before my mate even returned.

And when I awoke, it felt like I had literally just shut my eyes. I was startled from my sleep by Aleksandr, only this time is was purposefully.

"Sera!" A hand had been pushing and nudging me. When my eyelids fluttered open though, it stopped.

Sitting up, I yawned tiredly while glancing at the bedside clock. It read 1:05 AM. Confused, I turned my bleary eyes to my mate. I felt dizzy with sleep and wanted to return to my warm and comfortable slumber.

"Sera, it's Eileen. We must go now!" Aleksandr's words had my droopy eyes widening instantly. The idea of my sister being in trouble had the drowsiness knocked right out of me.

"What happened?" I grabbed a hold of my mates arm in worry.

"I don't know yet. Hurry and get dressed."

Not needing to be told twice, I flung the covers away and ran to the closet. Wrenching open drawers, I didn't even make sure the clothes I grabbed matched before yanking them on.

Aleksandr had already been ready and was waiting for me at our front door. When he saw me, he pulled me into the hallway and started walking with purpose. He probably didn't even realize he was dragging me along the way. Aleksandr was so wrapped up in his thoughts that he didn't notice the tight hold he had on my hand. It didn't really affect me though as I was also too worried about my sister.

Eventually, Aleksandr pulled us to a stop in front of a door. It was wide open and appeared to be like the living quarters that Aleksandr and I share only with different decor. It finally clicked into my mind that this was where Gabriel and Eileen stayed.

Aleksandr wrapped an arm around my waist as he walked into the apartment-like room. In the sitting room I found Ares and Ivanna as they conversed with another couple I was not quite familiar with. Aleksandr merely nodded at them both in respect and dragged me further into the rooms. There was already a solemn feeling hovering above the room but it got even worse when we reached the bedroom.

When we came to the bedroom, I spotted many familiar faces along with some I did not know. While all of the women surrounded the bed, all of the men stood whispering secretively in the far corner.
