Chapter 39
I woke up the next morning with a stinging headache. The sense completeness filled me and I opened my eyes, to see all four of my mates surrounding me. Their eyes brightened as I sat up on the bed and looked at the four of them. Greggory was closest to me, his eyes burning with unshed tears, as my other mates had looks of relief.
"You really must stop scaring us like that," Elliot spoke up first.
"I'm sorry," I blushed, feeling solemnly embarrassed to have worried them so much. If only I could control my powers better.
"Um, would you three mind giving me a few minutes alone with Greggory..." I blushed, looking at my thoughtful mates.
"Of course, we have to tell everyone you're awake anyway," Logan spoke up for the three.
I gave him a grateful smile, as he ushered Eliot and Tyler out of the room, leaving Greggory and I alone on my large bed. I sat up, bringing my knees to my chest and stared. Greggory was handsome and now that I could see him better, he had black hair with the most captivating eyes I'd ever seen. He seemed tall and was not lean like my other mates. He had a rugged feel and smelled strongly of the ocean.
"What are you?" I finally asked.
"A merman." He smiled brightly at me.
"Well, by now I think you can tell I am a werewolf." My fairy and which huffed in my head and I smiled, "as well as, part fairy and witch." I added.
Greggory's hand slipped into mine and I looked down at them happily. My hand looked so small compared to his, but it felt right. "Well, your other mates told me a little about themselves earlier, but I'm very interested in learning more about you and what happened the other night." He sighed.
"Well, I'm recently 17... My birthday happened a few months ago and caused this strange change in my life, you could say and it brought me here... Where I met all of you- Tyler, Logan, Eliot and yourself-. I have three annoying older brothers, and a twin sister, Avery, which you probably have met by now," Greggory nodded, "my pack is made widely of old pack members and new ones. I made this pack after reaching this town, but I am co-Alpha with my best friend, Ethan. I'm a seer, which is what caused my whole vision and pass out at the pageant last night and I enjoy cooking."
"What caused you to move here?"
My throat constricted and I looked down at my lap, "I grew up in a pack where no one really cared about me. On my 17th birthday, my fake mate rejected me and I decided it was best to leave. A few of the members left with me and eventually more members followed, because he's under the control of an ancient sprit named Michael."
"I'm sorry I asked," he whispered, tilting my chin up with his free hand.
"It's alright, it's good to talk about it. You're my mate, you should know about my life." I whispered.
We were silent again and I smiled, "do you have any current girlfriends that I need to worry about?"
A chuckled escaped his lips and he shook his head.
"No wife?"
"Nope, 100% single."
"Well that's great. We should get down, before my family barges in." I grinned, standing up, being automatically changed into a regal lace white and black knee length dress, with simple white heels. Greggory gaped at me, but I gave him a small smile in return, taking his hand and leading him out of the room.

"Yes I'm alright," I sighed for the millionth time, looking at Avery.
"You had me so worried! I could barely get in to see you with all your mates crowding you like puppy dogs! I'm so happy you're okay!" She groaned, wrapping her arms around me.
I smiled on the inside. She really did become such a great older sister over these past few weeks. I was happy with the change and I could see that she was really trying to make things right for everything that happened in the past. I pulled away from her, giving her a bright smile and looked at my brothers and Kevin, who waited for me, along with my parents, for me to tell them about my vision.
"Let's head to my office for a little privacy." I sighed, nodding to everyone.
They all agreed and we headed to the office, where I began to explain the clear, yet complicated vision. My father and brothers listened intently, nodding here and there. I knew they were linking to one another about the best way to handle the situation, as I had been doing with my mates. The room was silent as I announced that there was obviously a way to free Luke and that we must find it, before Michael can kill him.
"I agree, he is after all your warrior... But Michael won't kill him, he will only weaken him enough that he isn't able to protect you." My father said calmly.
"So what's the plan?"
