After dinner ended that night, Leslie could sense the worry in the air, as her members headed up to bed. She new a big day was coming and no one could be as prepared as they wished to be. All her members could do is hope and pray to the moon goddess that everything would be okay... As okay as it could be. This battle with no motive or predictive end was what awaited and all they could do was wait as Michael got closer and closer to them. Shaking her head, she walked up the stairs to her bedroom, but something felt off and she couldn't put her finger on it.

Sighing, she paused halfway up the stairs and turned around to look at the quiet foyer. It was so silent that she could hear the sleeping members all around the house. She sat on the stairs and waited for something to come to her mind. What had happened to make her so wary of going to sleep? She just needed to get over it and get some rest or else she'd pass out in the battlefield due to being so tired.

Starring at the bottom of the stairs, a flash passed over at the windows and she looked over to where it came from. She silently walked out of the back doors to the yard and saw the anonymous woods staring back at her. She released a nervous breath and took a few hesitant steps forward toward the tree line. Something sinister was in there and she was out here alone, just staring at what may be hidden behind it. In the instant she put her hands on a tree, she could hear Michael's laugh from behind the treeline.

"Show yourself you coward! You use Luke as a shield, making you no stronger than a weak minded boy!" She shouted to the trees, taking a step back, so she could take a see if he would show himself. She knew this wasn't a part of the plan that she had talked to the others about, but if she could lure him our and into the spirit world then that would give her a chance to avoid all of this foolishness. There was no need for war and if there was a way that it could be avoided, then she wouldn't hesitate to take that chance.

"Ah young alpha, you underestimate the wrong person, in only a few hours I will be upon you and there will be no way of stopping the havoc that awaits you. Your world will crumble and you will die pathetically with after tortuous sights of those you care about being murdered before your eyes." The hissing of Michael's voice coming through the trees.

"You want those who weren't involved in your loved ones deaths to suffer, because we are their descendants, but those who work beside you are also responsible and can turn on you in an instant. That makes you idiotic and when it comes to that, you do not impress me." Leslie laughed. How could he believe he was so strong if he barely understood the balance of time. He was not as immortal as one thought, he was a hurt boy without his parents and wanted to feel complete. The problem with that, was that it didn't matter if he won this battle, because that hole in his heart would never be filled and he would still end up alone and miserable.

"I will see you on the battlefield you childish wolf... As an alpha one should know never to leave members unprotected, though it seems that lesson hasn't been brought to you yet. If I were you I'd see which of your mates you can really trust." Michael laughed, before his voice faded away into the trees and Leslie thought back to the night of her meeting Gregory, her final mate. He was the only one she hadn't known well and she had immediately let him in, because she believed he could do no wrong.

Opening up her link to Tyler, she screamed for him to check on Elliot and Logan. They were her defense, the ones who protected the pack, so if they were down then that would mean Michael would have an upper hand. Rushing back into the pack house, she tried to take quiet steps up to the bedrooms where her mates stayed. She could sense all of them in an instant and followed Logan's trail. He was her most frail mate and she knew that he would be Gregory's easiest target in the middle of the night.

As Leslie opened Logan's door she was met with an unexpected sight. Logan's hand hovered over Gregory who seemed to struggle to breath. A laugh escaped Logan's lips as Gregory struggled for breath and Leslie attempted to link Tyler, as her shaky hand went up and she attempted to shoot Logan in the back with a flash bomb. Her mate turned and she saw the different look in his eye, as he stood. She steeled her nerves and raised her hands shooting out a sun fire shot in his direction, just as he began to run toward her.

She twisted out of his way as he neared her and turned to him, throwing a shot of lighting at him and watching him go down. As he fell, Elliot and Tyler made their appearance and grabbed both of his arms as a pang hit her heart. She sucked it up and took another shot at him and watched she fell lifeless in Tyler and Elliot's arms. She closed her eyes for a moment, hoping that this moment could leave her memory, before turning to a badly injured Gregory.

"We'll have you taken to a safe house until the battle is over, you're in condition to fight in a few hours." She said softly to him, as she took steps over to where he laid. He was bloodied, but Leslie knew he would be fine, since she'd barely made it in time to stop whatever Logan could have done.
