Chapter 7

"Doctor. How is Harry?"

The doctor gave Alaina a sad look and started to walk away.

"Doctor. Tell me. How is Harry?"

"He is not well at all. He is in a coma now."

"But he is going to wake up, right?"

"I don't know. By the results of the tests we ran on him and his condition, I do not believe he will wake up, and I believe he will soon need to be taken off of life support. Even if, for some reason, he wakes up, he will need to be in a wheelchair for a while."

"HE WILL WAKE UP!" If you would've heard Alaina's voice when she yelled this, you would've thought she was screaming bloody murder. "I am not giving up hope. I am not giving up on Harry, and I am sure that neither are his beloved fans across the globe."

The doctor shook his head. "Sure."

Alaina was extremely upset. She was a dear beloved fan of Harry herself. And even though she only got to speak and try to get to know Harry for a short little while, she still deeply cared for him. She burst into tears.

"Come sit." The cop who drove her to the hospital helped her to a nearby seat in the waiting room.

"Where is the bloody man that tried to kill Harry?!?!"

The policeman didn't speak.

"Answer me!"

"He is being arranged. He is going to end up in prison. You have nothing to worry about. He can't hurt you. He can't do anything to anyone anymore."

"He doesn't have to do anything anymore! His deed is done! He already tried to kill Harry! He is now in a coma! Do you not know how upsetting this is?!?!"

"I have never felt this kind of pain before, especially toward someone I barely knew, but I am deeply sorry. I wish this kind of pain on no one. I need to call my boss. I will be right back to ask you for your statement. It will allow you time to calm down and process."

Alaina shook her dead.

She turned to look at the door of the room where Harry was laying on a bed, unconscious, and on life support. She got herself up out of the chair in the waiting room, and she walked to Harry's door.
