"Lana? Jayden?"
"Psst."
My brown ponytail swings against my shoulder as I turn on my heel. Lana's curly black hair spirals down her shoulders as she leans out the door. She grins her signature smile and beckons me over. I sigh and my shoes make squeaky noises as they rub against the polished wood floors.
I suck in my breath and cringe as I follow Lana into Principal King's office. My eyes are squeezed shut, but as I slowly open my left eye to see what they'd done, I realize that it's way worse than I thought. The whole room is plastered with post-it notes and on each one is written a complaint about the school. I pull one of Principal King's desk and I'm at a loss for words as I stare dumbly at the bright orange piece of paper.
'The food in the cafeteria tastes like dirty diapers smell ;P'
"Jayden, Lana, what on earth?" I cry.
"Cool huh? It was just meant to be a joke on Principal King but Jayden took it waaaaay too far. Worth it though," Lana states proudly.
"Lana!" I say.
"What?"
"We have to take this all down," I say, as I start pulling them from the walls and the desk.
"Why? We spent the whole morning on this," Lana whines and Jayden pouts and nods his head enthusiastically.
"Don't you get it? You guys could get expelled!" I say as if it's the most obvious thing ever.
Lana stops for a minute. "Well, good. This place is a dump."
"No. Not good, you can't be expelled."
"But!"
"Lana, you cannot get expelled, end of story."
"I have a Mum you know, and you're not her."
"I don't want to be your Mum, but I am you best friend and I can tell you right now if you let Principal King expel you two, your lives are gonna be down in the dumps."
"Well...she has a point, Lana," states Jayden, finally getting a word in.
"You as well Jay?" Jayden looks at her uneasily and sighs.
Lana looks at me, then at Jayden and it looks like I've finally broken her down. "Fine!" she cries, "Gosh, I'm such a pushover."

After almost two hours, we pulled every single pink, orange, blue, purple, green and yellow post it notes off the walls and furniture.
"Finally!" she cried, as we pulled the last post-it note off Principal King's desk and chucked it into the garbage bag.
I do one last check of the room to make sure we haven't left anything behind and I walk out the door knowing that we did the right thing. Jayden pulls out a key from his pocket and locks the door. He must've noticed my confused face as to why he had the key to Principal King's office and grinned cheekily.
"The janitor, Harvey, he left the key under this pot plant on Friday when he left. I saw him do it when I went inside to grab my phone from my locker cos' basketball practice was over and I rang Lana to tell her that our plan was going down."
"Only you, Jay, only you," I tease and we walk through the busy streets and wander through playgrounds and dog parks, garden fountains and rows upon rows of houses. We stop at Jay's house and knock on the door.
