His name made my body purr. I had to refrain myself from saying his name. It felt rich on my tongue. His dark eyes followed my every move. I was at ease around him, but I was also on edge. He seemed to get closer to me with every breath. He looked soft to the touch; I wanted to touch him. I felt every fiber in my body fight to reach out and stroke his face, to grab his hand. Snap out of it Jace! I snapped at myself.

"Jeremiah King, why did you come to the compassion pack?" I asked taking a step closer to him. The closer I got to him the more I could smell how delicious he actually smelt. It made my head dizzy.

"You don't get to ask questions..." He barked at me, his eyes darkening. "You're lucky I even told you my name. Nobody knows my name."

"Is that why you told me?" I asked, taking another small step. I could officially reach out and touch him if I wanted to. I watched as his crimson eyes followed my every step. His eyes held slight amusement, but it was gone before I could really get a glimpse at it.

"You don't get to ask questions."

"You already said that." I snapped, feeling myself giving over to my aggravation even more then I already had. I could no be gentle with the man who tried to kill my father. He needed my help, and I would give it to him... then throw him in prison. He turned around and started to walk away from me, my jaw dropped. I bent down picking up a stick and chunked it at his moving figure. I squeaked as he stopped and growled.

"Let me help you!" I screamed, not wanting to let my prisoner go. I couldn't completely lie to myself I was beyond intrigued by this stranger. I felt drawn to him, a pull. He turned around; I watched as he looked at his wound, it was still deep.

"Alright." He nodded his head, I let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding. He raised his eyebrow. I nodded my head and started to walk in the direction of my house.

"You can't kill me though..." I snapped turning around again letting out a low growl.

"I'll spare you." He snapped back at me, making me flinch internally.

We walked back to my house, he followed me. This went against my Alpha training, this man tried to kill my father. It was strange, but I felt connected to this man. I had no idea who he was, he only gave me an unheard name. I was being completely reckless.

Once we got to my house I made him wait outside my bedroom window. I ran around the house opening the front door. I walked across the marble floor, taking deep breaths.

"They're asleep in the guest room." Sam whispered, I jumped a little. My eyes flickered towards her gentle grey ones. Her dark brown locks were in waves. I mouthed a thank you, not being able to find my voice. She took a step towards me, her arms extended out towards me. I felt my lip quiver slightly. I accepted her embrace, letting her warm arms wrap around me.

"You know I'm always here for you..." She whispered, squeezing me slightly. Sam had been my best friend since we were little kids. It was okay for us to be humans around each other. My life without her wouldn't be complete.

"I know," I whispered. We let each other ago; I watched as she went back to her room. I opened the guest bedroom door. My sisters laid curled up in a ball together, their eyelashes fluttered. I took a deep breath before closing the door again. I took a deep breath before making my way to my room.

As I approached the room I noticed that my light was on. I pushed the door open and I couldn't help but stare. I could see Jeremiah now. He was breath taking, his eyes flickered over to mine. I was lost in the dark orbs. They seemed to be filled with a deep history. I was mesmerized by the unknown emotions that were hidden.
