Chapter 1

1~ Monk's Training

3rd Person POV

Mai sat up as she yawned. She looked around her room to see stuff thrown around and/or shattered. She sighed and cleaned it up once more.

Maybe I should give Monk a call. Mai thought as she got changed.

She slipped on a simple blue and white plad summer dress. She walked downstairs and grabbed her phone, dialing Monk's number.

(Bold= Mai italic= Monk)

Hello?

Hey, Monk?

Mai! Where were you?! We couldn't get a hold of you!

At home... but there's something I need your help with.

What is it?

My PK. Please come over, I don't think my house will last any longer.. I keep waking up to see shattered things or others thrown.

Ok. I'll be there soon just hang tight.

Ok, thanks Monk.

Mai sighed as she sat on her couch eating a bagel. The door opened as she felt someone hugging her which shocked her.

"Little Mai!" A familiar voice said happily.

"Monk!" She shouted happily as well.

She twisted her body and hugged him back as she giggled.

"So.. your PK.. how bad is it?" He asked her as he sat down beside her.

"Well.. bad enough to destroy the house." She replied.

"Wow. Thats alot. Let's try a test" he told her with a small smile.

~Time Skip~

Mai laid on the couch as Monk sat beside her a few feet away.

"Ok, so when you sleep I'll chart your PK level with this monitor" he said, pointing to the monitor.

Mai nodded as she laid down on the couch and began to fall sleep.

*In Mai's Dream*

Everything was black. There was no color, no lights, no nothing. The only thing there was, was Mai. She was floating in thin air. All of a sudden, a force grabbed her wrists like chains and pulled her down as she heard men laughing.

"Stop it!! Let me go!!" She shouted.

Then everything stopped. The laughed, the pulling.. everything. She now floated in the middle of the black void when she heard Naru's voice. It got more and more distant as If leaving.

"Don't leave me.." she muttered.

"Me or Gene?"

Those words began to taught her as her world spun around. She gripped her head screaming loudly.

*Back With Monk*

Her screams were loud and echoed in the room. The PK monitor bursted as things began to fly. This... was shocking to him.

"Mai! Wake up!" He shouted.

Mai then began to scream louder,  holder her head. Then, the screaming and turning stopped as she laid there calmly. It was like it was an exorcism. The screams are loud then dead silent.

Mai woke up and saw Monk by her side with a cut on his check.

"Oh my gosh! Did.. my PK do that?" She asked concerned.

"Mai, your PK levels kind of.. Killed the monitor" he said, raising the broken monitor.

Mai's face went from concerned to shocked. She knew what this meant.

"Do I need to get help from a professional?" She asked slowly.

He only nodded. She sighed but smiled happily.

"Well, thanks for helping me out! I'll figure out what to do with this!" She cheered.

Monk smiled and nodded as they both cleaned Mai's PK mess. He waved goodbye and left after an hour of cleaning.  Just as that happened her friend Kuroda (I think..?) walked to her.

"Hey Mai, who was that? Your boyfriend~" she cooed.

"No! Monk's my friend! If anything brother!" She replied wavering her hands around.

"Mind If I come in? I want to play a little game!"

"Sure"

They sat down on the couch as Kuroda saw it looked cleaner so she took her guess.

"Your PK again?" She asked.

Mai nodded with a sigh, closing her eyes. Kuroda pulled out a ouija board and set it on her table.

"Are you insane?!" Mai shouted in surprise.

Kuroda nodded with a smirk. "I heard you can actually make demons your followers! We could so get demon friends!"

Mai knew once she's in there's no going back on curiosity. So she sighed and gave in.

"As long as we don't open a portal and forget to close it!" Mai exclaimed.

Kuroda nodded and began to set it up.

Oh man, what have I gotten myself into now. Mai thought as she watched Kuroda set things up.
