As we pulled into the gated estate, my eyes widened. Well, this is new, I thought, looking around t the classy establishment, my eyes lighting at the sight of the pool and large garden surrounding it. Driving through the grassy entrance, a winked over at Tony as we simultaneously spotted the proud mansion sitting in the centre of the estate.

We drove up to the entrance where the valet stood, and Tony hopped out, handing him the keys before joining me and walking up the stone steps to the large door at the front of the house. I whistled quietly in admiration.

“Classy set-up isn’t it?” I said.

“Yeah, not half bad as family businesses go,” Tony replied.

“Not quite used to dealing with such rich pickings.” I confessed, “It’s usually drug deals and weapon’s exchange as far as I’m concerned,” I pulled on my blazer and drew it up my forearms.

“Nothing to worry about, Sweets,” Tony comforted me, “I’ll get his signature, you do your flirting and we’ll be out of here in an hour, max.”

“Should it really take that long? I swear this was a done deal?” I asked, suddenly worried.

“Almost. They’re looking at expanding in business so naturally they’ll be looking into well known gangs, like us,” Tony reassured me, but all that did was make me even more nervous.

“If they’re looking into well-known gangs they’ll be looking into the Bloods gang as well,” I said, getting edgy. I’d had an episode with the Bloods gang and one of their members. Safe to say that what started off as business nearly cost me my life, and by my own gang.

“Yeah, they’ll be here tonight, along with J3C and Casts_”

“Shit, Tony! Why didn’t Louis tell me about this?” I exclaimed.

“Well, likely because he knew you’d react like this. Don’t worry about it Harls, just do your job and keep it cool. This can’t get screwed up or it’s not just you who’ll get it in the neck.” Tony warned.

“Just tell me if he’ll be there,” I shot the question at him.

Tony paused for a moment, clearly debating whether or not it would be in his best interests to tell me the truth or not. Making up his mind, he said, “Probably,” at my stunned expression he continued, “He’s their lead negotiator, Harls, of course he’ll be there. This is one of the biggest deals for a gang like there’s; they’ll have their best people on the job.”

“Oh, God,” I muttered, my head cupped in my hands.

“Haleigh, listen to me,” Shit, he used my full name, this is serious, I thought. “You can’t lose your bottle now. Stay close to me through the evening and I’m going to try and keep you away from him, but you’ve got to keep it cool, okay? We can’t afford any screw-up on this deal,” he stared at my long and hard.
