I washed my face and teeth as I then started combing my hair, today was the big day, my first day as a student of Hogwarts! I couldn't wait but I was so nervous, I put on my robes and walked though the corridors. The other first years wouldn't be here for hours yet, I rushed quickly to Dumbledore's office and walked in cautiously. "Headmaster? You in here?" When I was met with silence I walked in and looked round, "Hello Y/N" I jumped at the voice and turned to see the sorting hat sitting on Dumbledores desk, I walked over and smiled. "Hello sorting hat, how are you today?" "I'm doing good Y/N, but the better question is what do you need?" "What do you mean? Who said I needed anything?" "I doubt you came in here to tell me stories or have a discussion like usual, now what's bothering you?" "Well... I was worried about what house I'm going to be sorted into." "Ah yes, I'm guessing your worried about being in the same house as your father, am I right?" "Yes, what if I am? I don't want end up like him!" "Y/N! You may have the same blood as him but you are nothing like him, trust me, whatever house your in you will do great. Now run along, I'm sure McGonagall would like to speak to you before the sorting ceremony." "Thank you sorting hat, I'll see you later. Have a good day." "And you Y/N." I left and made my way through the halls, I saw some lights over the black lake. I ran quickly over to the window and saw boats with students in them, I smiled and ran to the great hall where the other students where and the teachers sat. I was greeted by people on the way to the teachers table, I sat down next to Dumbledore and smiled at him. "Ahh Y/N, big day isn't it?" "Yes headmaster, I'm a little nervous." "It's fine to be nervous, just know that whatever house your sorted into you will do great." "Thank you headmaster. Oh look there's the new students!" I watch Professor McGonagall lead the new students to the sorting hat that sat on the stool in front of the teachers table. I watched students walk up to the hat and be sorted into their houses, "Draco Malfoy." I made eye contact with him as he walked up, he had blond hair that was sleeked back and blue/ grey eyes, he smiled at me as he sat down causing me to blush. The sorting hat didn't even fully touch his head as it yelled Slytherin, he smirked and walked to the Slytherin table. It called out some more then Harry Potter, my eyes widened at him, the boy that's parents died at my fathers hand is here! I instantly looked down and fiddled with my robe, after some time the sorting hat sorted him into Gryffindor. "Y/N Riddle" I took a breath breath and made my way to the sorting hat, I sat down and felt him go on my head. "Ahh Y/N, finally your time to be sorted." "Yes..." "Hm well I can see courage, lots of courage. Intelligent as well, loyal to the end and also sly and cunning. You will do great things, this is tricky, I know... GRYFFINDOR, RAVENCLAW, HUFFLEPUFF AND SLYTHERIN!" Murmured voices filled the room as I looked round confused at McGonagall and Dumbledore, they looked at each other and nodded. McGonagall whispered in my ear, "Y/N, go sit back at the teachers table and we will sort this out after the sorting and feast." "Ok Professor." I nervously sit back down and watch the rest of the sorting, then Dumbledore announced for the feast to begin and food appeared on the tables like every year. I ate my food and waited for the students to leave for their dorms, when they do all he teachers start talking at once. "SILENCE! Now I know we are all confused on Y/N sorting but we shall not panic." "Then what do you suggest Headmaster, clearly Y/N can't be in all the houses." "I agree Severus but at this moment she is, Y/N?" "Yes Headmaster?" "At the moment we will do a trial for the houses, you will spend a year with each house and by the end of the 4th year, whatever house you do best in will be your final house." "But headmaster! What if I'm better in Slytherin, like my father!" "Y/N I can assure you that even if your in Slytherin, your nothing like Lord Voldemort." I sighed and saw Professor Quirrell tense for a moment, probably over the Voldemort part, "L-lord V-v-Voldemort? Your father?" "Yes Professor, I have hidden a great truth from you all but as it's already out in the open I may as well tell you. Y/N here... is Voldemort's daughter, she was left on the doorstep by the mother who was fearing for her daughters safety from her father. In the mean time I suggest that Y/N starts in Gryffindor for the 1st year then goes onto Slytherin, then Hufflepuff and finally Ravenclaw. Y/N if you would like to proceed to the Gryffindor common room, I will have Percy show you all the works, I trust you will be fine?" "Yes Headmaster, I'll go now." "I-i have some paperwork to finish." I left the great hall with Professor Quirrell behind me, on the way I saw him looking quite nervous around me. "You don't have to worry Professor, I'm nothing like my father." "O-oh n-no it's fine, just a nasty shock is all. Though that part isn't completely untrue Y/N." "What do you mean?" "Your eyes. "Ahh Y/N Gryffindor house then huh, well done dear, come on in." She opened up and I entered the common room, I walk in and see Percy with some older students, I walk over and smile at them. "Hello Percy, The Headmaster told me to come to you about my trial in Gryffindor." "Y/N! Of corse, I'll show you to your room in the girls dormitory." Percy lead me to the girls dormitory and let me enter on my own, before I could even enter I bumped into a brown haired girl coming out. "Oh I'm sorry." "It's fine, my names Y/N Riddle, who are you?" "My names Hermione Granger. You were the girl who was sorted into all the houses weren't you!" "Yes I was. It's quite unusual really." "Its never happened before, I know because I've read about all of Hogwarts history and I've never come across something like this!" "Well I'm sure something has happened before, maybe, would your parents know?" "Oh my parents aren't really, well..." "There muggles, aren't they?" "Yes, I'm a muggle born witch." "Really? Tell me about the muggles!" "Wait... you want to know about muggles?" "Yes! I've never been out this castle before so I've never got to meet any. So tell me." For the next few hours we talked about all things from muggles to the castle magic, we had set up my bed next to Hermione and was all fine till Hermione mentioned Harry Potter. "I still can't believe Harry Potter is at Hogwarts and also in Gryffindor house! Don't you think it's so great?" "Um kinda I guess. I just don't really want to meet him." "Why not? He's THE Harry Potter!" "Let's just say my father and his didn't get on very well..." "So? That shouldn't stop you and Harry from talking" "I guess not but won't it be weird?"
