The Head Board and the Head Mistress were checking the rooms. Emma and Jade's dorm was on the fifth floor. The sixth floor was empty, leftover dorms. The Board and Mistress were now on the fourth floor, and they covered ground quickly, so by the next day they would be on the fifth floor. Emma wasn't very worried. She knew where she would hide the knife she'd been using. She would hide it in a little compartment that she had carved out in one of the tiles in the shower. The tile would act like a door, all she would have to do is remove it and grab the knife from the hole she made.

By chance, Jade had not stumbled upon the little nook, and for that Emma was grateful. Jade was the only friend she had here, and it would hurt to have to kill her.

In Emma's head, she was doing the world a favor. She was simply getting rid of all the suspicious people. All of the people who liked to roam around in the dark at night. She was getting rid of anyone that reminded her of Celia and Robert.

I'm cold and shaking. My muscles are cramped, but I don't want to stretch them out for the fear. I don't know what fear. I look around and all I see is darkness. My eyes adjust. I can faintly make out something metal and crooked in the left corner of the room. My eyes sweep the small room. There's a metal door. It's locked shut. I can't see anything on the door, but I know that it has many heavy bolts along the outside of it. Something creaks. It's something or someone in the hall. There's another creak. Then there are many creaks coming closer. Something heavy is making the sound. Silence. One of the bolts on the door unlocks. The other two bolts unlock slowly. The door swings open slowly making a rusted metal sound. Someone's in the doorway. I can see their dark, heavy figure in the doorway.
"Hello .... Little Emma," the person says. I know who it is and I tighten my muscles even more, and scoot a little closer against the slightly damp wall. The fear I already have, grows. It overtakes my body from the inside out. My mind flies from thought to thought and the glitching pounds harder than ever. The person reaches me.
"I've been waiting all day for you. You are going to enjoy this," He says. He grabs my ankles and slides me away from the wall. I'm on my back. My clothes are off. Something wet is sliding down my cheeks. Tears. The man is grunting. He moves me and himself faster and faster until a thick liquid fills into me. He moves away from me. He manuvers he clothes on.

Emma wakes up in a pool of sweat. It was a dream. Anger fills inside her heart and she sits up and double checks the hiding place where her knife is placed. No other students were reported missing that morning.

"It's a miracle," Jade comments to Emma during lunch. They were sitting quietly at the table in the very back of the room. "Nobody got slaughtered." Jade softly chuckled.

"Is something funny, Jade?" Emma said her dark eyes staring darkly up at Jade.

"No. Not really. It's just that .. well .. I sort of have a theory about the killings," Jade replied hastily, squirming under the stare. Emma raised an eyebrow silently asking her to continue. "I thought that .. well .. um .. maybe the killer could be targeting bad kids."

"How were those kids bad?"

Jade lowered her voice. "Derrick has slept with almost every girl in this school. Jesse was arrested for giving alcohol to kids. And Megan? She used to play pranks on students. She had once put superglue in Murial's toothpaste."

"Murial?" Emma said questioningly.

"Megan's roommate. Poor girl. Was visiting her parents over the weekend - family member had died. Now her roommates dead." Emma nodded.
