Chapter 3

Ava's POV

"Are you sure you want to hang out with a hipster, uncool girl?" I said laughing . "Why not?" Cameron replied with a huge grin.

I will say that I am not an interesting person in my opinion, so I have no idea why Cameron wants to hang out with me. I never thought I was beautiful. There are so many girls who have gorgeous bodies and faces, who look like stars. And I am just a cloud. A big blob of nothing. I don't shine and I'm not beautiful.

"You will regret this." I whispered to myself. "What did you say Ava Gray?" Cameron asked. "Oh Uhm nothing, and it's just Ava." I replied. "I like Ava Gray. It lets people know that there is only one of yourself. The only Ava Gray." Cameron remarked in a heartwarming tone. I couldn't hold back my smile.

"So Ava Gray, what shall we do on this beautiful Thursday afternoon?" Cameron asked looking at the sky. I laughed at his idiotic nature. It was a windy, wet afternoon with no hint of the sun. "Cameron, do you realize the wind is hell and the clouds are gray?" I replied giggling. "I know what we can do." He said pulling me with him.

"It took 15 minutes to get here, it better be good" I told Cameron out of breath from running. "Oh you'll love it, just wait." He replied with a smirk.

The wind had stopped, and the sun was peaking out from under the clouds. It seemed like we were in a field with a pond a few feet away from us. "Well, what are you waiting for! JUMP IN!!" Cameron said running towards the pond sliding his shirt off. "Are you kidding, I'm wearing a dress and it is probably freezing." I replied in awe from looking at Cameron's sculpture like abs. " AVA GRAY, IT IS ALMOST SUMMER! NOW GET IN!!" He said yelling from the pond. "No I'm staying right here." I replied sternly.

"FINE IM COMING TO GET YOU THEN!" Cameron said while he was about to grab me. "NO CAMERON STOP PLEASE NO OH MY GOSH PLEASE NO!" I said while trying to get loose from Cameron's arms around my waist. "CAM STOP YOUR TICKLING ME!" I said laughing my stomach out. "Oh so you are ticklish." He said while tickling me. "YES YES I AM NOW STOP YOU ARE HURTING ME CAMERON STOP." I replied trying to stop cameron. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry Ava" he said while letting me stand up and hugging me. "Ava Gray please forgive me I'm so sor-" he tried to say while I pushed him into the pond. I was laughing like an idiot by now. My face was red from laughing and I was on the floor. "AVA!! Why would you do this?" He asked pulling me into the water with him.

We stayed in the water for awhile until Cameron got out to get dried off. I kept swimming, and cameron told me he was going to sit under the big tree by the pond. It seemed like he was playing with something, but I just kept swimming.

I eventually went to sit down by Cameron. He wrapped his arm around me and looked into my eyes.

"Ava Gray, I have had the most amazing time with you. I haven't done anything like this in forever and I'm so glad that I did it with you." He said not leaving my eyes. "I did too, I usually don't want to do things because it is a waste of time, but today just made me feel so alive." I replied with a smile.

"We should do this aga-" I tried to say when I felt warm, soft lips that made my heart beat ten times faster than it was. This is the first time I have ever felt beautiful while being myself.
