CAMERONS POV

I have been the happiest person in the world lately. It has been almost a month since I got the guilt off of my chest, and everything was okay. I love Ava more than anything. I told her to only say she loves me when she really feels it, and I love her for that. I am falling for her more every day.

I haven't talked to Kyle at all. I don't want to be around that ass ever again. He needs to get away from Ava and I. I know his real story, and he is not the guy everyone suspects him to be. I'm going to change that.

I'm on my way to meet Ava to go to my place to study for our final exams until winter break. I cannot wait until we get away from this hellhole for two weeks. I get to be away from this place, and get to be with the girl I love.

As soon as I drive into her driveway, I get a phone call... From Ava.

"Cameron." I hear her tiny voice crack through the phone as of she was crying. "Ava what's wrong? Are you okay?" I said quickly unbuckling and running into her house.

"What happened, Ava? Are you hurt? I will be inside in one minute, hold on!" I told Ava making sure she was okay.

I finally got to her. She was standing in the kitchen with tears pouring out of her eyes, and had a look of disbelief. "It's my dad. I just got a call from his office. He had a heart attack. They are with him on his way to the hospital." Ava said in between to cries. "Come on Ava, let's go, it will be okay." I said latching her hand onto mine.

~~

We finally arrived at the hospital. She had been sobbing into her hand the entire way to the hospital.

We went straight to the front desk. "Excuse me ma'am, what floor is Mark Williams on?" I asked the nurse at the front desk. "One floor up, second room to the left." She said while we were already on our way to the elevator.

"Cam, is he going to be okay?" Ava asked as I slowly pulled her into my chest. "Ava don't worry, he would've leave an amazing girl like you. I wouldn't let that happen." I said trying to make her have reassurance.

We finally got to his room. Ava immediately ran into her fathers arms. I had the feeling of what love she had for her father. If only he would see that I wouldn't hurt her.

"Hello sweetheart." Her father said. "Hey dad." She said pushing away her tears. "I love you, please don't leave me." Ava said as her dad pushed her hair out her eyes.

"I would give my life any day for yours. At least you are still here today. I have lived my life, now go live yours." Her father said making her tear even more. "I love you so much dad." Ava said bringing tears to my eyes.

"Honey, why don't you go outside with your mom." Her dad said while Ava for up to leave the room. I was slowly about to leave when he told me to stay.

"Cameron, I know you have been seeing my daughter." He said making me very uncomfortable. "I know sir. I just lov-"I tried to say when he cut me off.

"Take care of her son. You will be the only man in her life now. And I'm glad that it's you. Make me a promise Cameron that you will take care of her."

"I will sir, I will." I said slowly walking out of the room.

~~

We had been in the waiting room for over three hours. Ava's head was laying on my lap, and my mind was still replaying the words Mr. Williams said. I will keep that promise no matter what.

A nurse finally came to talk to Ava's mom and her.

"Are you family of Mr. Williams?" The nurse said. "Yes I'm his wife, and this is my daughter." Ava's mom said.

"I'm sorry to inform you that your husband has passed away." The nurse said making Ava's face turn from hope to despair.

Ava ran out of the door of the hospital, me trying to catch up with her.

"Ava, wait. It's okay. It's not the end of the world." I said racing up to Ava who finally stopped and sat on the ground with her head in her hands.

"He was my hero." Ava said while I slowly warped my arms around her.

"I can be your hero."

"Cameron all I want you to do right now is make me forget. That's the only way your going to fix me right now. Please." Ava said. "If I made you forget, you would regret it in your heart. You can't forget a man like that." I said slowly into her ear.

"He reminds me of you." She replied.

"Everything will be okay Ava. I made a promise to that." I said softly, but loud enough for her to hear.

"I love you Cameron."

"I love you."
