Twister. Your worst enemy. Ink was the one spinning the spinner, snickering as Fiction tried to maneuver around without most of her sight. Watty had fallen down roughly ten times in the time you'd been standing watching them.

"Really? You guys couldn't have yelled back that you were okay? Or that you heard me?" They didn't respond, making you pause for a moment, before walking in front of Ink, waving your hand in his face. No reaction.

"Watty?" You reach out to put a hand on her shoulder, but you phase right through her. "What?! What's going on?"

Your neck starts to hurt, making you reach around and touch the nape of your neck, pulling your hand back after feeling a stinging sensation. "What in the name of-" Your vision goes black and you pass out, collapsing on the floor.

(Timeskip brought to you by Ink's sunshiney laugh, because he's a precious bean)

You wake up, the pain in your neck severe. What happened? You look down, finding a chain connected to your ankle. Your shoes are still on, which means you never got home. That scene that you saw was a dream.

"Hello?" You croak out, your voice sounding hoarse like you've been out for an extended period of time.

"Ah. You're awake. Welcome to the rest of your life, Ms. Prime." A figure steps slightly out of the shadows in front of you, their face covered by the hood of a hoodie.

"Who are you?" Your question seems to please the figure, a glint of teeth noticeable from the small glint of light on their face.

"I am the deciding factor in whether or not you survive these next few days. You are going to call your friends and tell them the pressure was just too much, and that someone else needs to take the place of Prime. Am I clear?" You nod, not wanting to upset this person.

They hand you your phone, and you dial the number the S.W.A.T. team gave you when they dropped you off, saying that if anything were to happen to call it.

"Hello? Watty? I'm sorry, the pressure was just too much, and you need to have someone take my place as Prime." A sad 'What?!' could be heard from the other side of the phone, and you gasp, hearing Water as the recipient of the call.

"I'm sorry. Please don't try to contact me. Tell the others I'll miss them." You hang up, not wanting to hear Water's reply.

"I hope you're happy." The figure grins, taking your phone and smashing it on the ground in front of you.

"Oh, I'm quite happy. More than you would think." They walk away, closing the door of whatever makeshift cell they've put you in, leaving you to wish that you hadn't sat in your car and gone over all your thoughts, seeing as that's probably when your kidnapper got you.

(Switching to an unknown POV)

She can't have meant that, right?! I mean, she seemed so happy. Shelby, are you okay? Water had called everyone together, saying what she'd called him and told him. He also said he tried to call her again, but it just went to her voicemail immediately.

"Everything okay?" Snapchat walks up to me, and I shake my head, feeling on the brink of tears.

"Maybe there's more to this. Maybe something's happened, and she was...nevermind, I won't continue that thought." Snap rests a hand on my shoulder, giving me a reassuring smile. "I'm sure she's fine."

I nod, looking to the floor as I recall the last time we spoke. She had seemed like everything was going great, not like she was stressed, and it's usually easy to tell when Shelby's stressed. Maybe...maybe Snap's right. Maybe Shelby's being held against her will and she was forced to make that phone call.

"We, um, we could see if G could access her last known whereabouts. Maybe she's not run away, but something happened." Water turns to me, pausing for a moment before nodding.

"Her words did seem a bit rushed, and her voice sounded pretty shaky. Maybe you're right." Watty was crying earlier, and hugs Ink, starting to cry again.

"Watty, don't worry. Shelby's a sensible woman, she'll do almost whatever anyone asks of her as long as it keeps herself and us safe." Fiction speaks calmly with a warm look on her face, rubbing Watty's back as she reassures all of us.

"But still. We need to make sure Shelby's safe. We'll split up, some of us will go to G's house, and the other's will go see if Shelby's actually left Main Drive." Water looks at Snap and I, motioning for us to go with him.

"I'll take you guys and Fiction to see G, everyone else, fan out and look for any sign of Shelby leaving, or being...kidnapped." Water has to force the words out, his eyebrows furrowing and he sighs, motioning for me to help Fiction out the door.

"Don't worry, Watty. She'll be fine, and we'll have her back here in no time." Fiction hugs Watty one more time before grabbing my arm and steadying herself.

"Let's go find Shelby." She smiles at me, her smile warm and full of hope.

"Yeah, let's make sure our Prime is okay." We head out to Water's car, hoping Shelby stays safe in the meantime.
