Stars P.O.V-
I had finally woke up after some time and looked around.These people most certainly knew how to fortify and defend.They had guns lined up on the walls and my bow staff.Now I was pissed so I tried to get up to be pushed down again by a tall brunette female."Who are you and what were you doing in the city?"I had looked into her eyes and gave a straight answer."I was scavenging for me and my friend and my name is no concern for you right now."
"Your first concern should be to give me my bow staff or else someone is gonna die."She had backed up and a large man stepped infront of me with a shotgun layed on my forehead."How about this.We let you go and keep all your stuff and in return we wont kill you?"I was done with their bullshit and I had already layed out the situation.I stood up and grabbed the mans shotgun while putting it straight to my chest.
"If your gonna shoot me then do it mother fucker but dont even try and haggle with me because I will come back and next time I wont be as easy to shoot."He had looked at me with fear and slowly put his shotgun down while I went behind him and grabbed my bow staff."Where am I anyway?"The man walked away and the woman had answered me instead."Welcome to owl city."I stood infront of her and waited for her friend to come back so I could deal with them both.
He did come back except with someone that had a mask on.The man who had the mask had a SMG slung over his shoulder with a revolver aimed at my face.I extended my bow staff and looked him straight in the eye."Point me to the exit I ain't asking for any trouble what-so-ever."The woman aimed her gun at me and was beginning to squeeze the trigger and it was now time.
I jumped up and hit the man with the mask in the groin and spun around while kicking the womans gun out of her hands.I had began running while they started getting their wits together.I saw a large gate and quickly slammed into it while slowly pushing it open as to not alert any wanderers.The people began coming out while looking at me most of them terrified.
3rd P.O.V-
Star looked around at the people most of them terrified.The leader ran out with his mask off while holding up a SMG."Get away from the gates boy or we will open fire!!"Star looked at him and he finally saw it.The man had been infected yet he managed to stop the process.Half of his face was gray with dull milky eyes and the other half had been asian.
Star put up his staff and slowly backed away from the gate walking to the leader."How did you stop the infection from spreading."The people closed the gates and gathered around Star while the leader replied."You dare ask me how to stop this from happening after attacking me and my people while putting civilians in the crossfire?"Star looked around and noticed how many children their were carelessly playing with a soccer ball almost as if nothing had happened in the last four years.
He put his bow staff on his back and looked at their leader almost wishing he had the mask back on."Just let me grab my stuff and I'll leave okay?My friend likely followed you all while dragging me back here.If we want we could take this place over but we aren't going to punish the children for the mistakes you all made."As if on cue a arrow landed next to the female from earlier with a note attached to it.
"LET HIM GO."The note was then put away into a pocket and the arrow was kept in its spot.The man from earlier handed over Star his ankle pistols and his pack with everything still within.Star had put everything back on and looked at the leaders face once more.He had calmness replaced with hatred due to Stars actions and yet all Star could think about was the signal.
He finally saw it.A flare had hit one of the guards in the leg which had immediately caused him to scream with terror and thats when the war started.
