3rd P.O.V-
It had been a couple of days since the large Volatile had been killed and since then Star,Raven,and Moon have grown closer.Alot closer actually.Moon had found a way to dye her hair black and Star has been making tons of trips to the city to obtain more supplies.
Star slowed down once in the city knowing he had enough time before sun-down and since the volatile accident along with the owl-city one,their had been rules implimented by Raven and Moon since Star was the only runner.Apparently now he had to be back before 7 p.m which of course gave him less time to get supplies.Moon had gone on a few runs but that was just plain bad.
He grabbed a can that was filled with peaches and put his staff on his back knowing that their were no wanderers around."I can't believe that they still have peaches. . ."Star put as much food into his back and he still had an hour left so he began walking around the city with caution as to not run into any dark areas that had not been previously explored by him.
He saw a wanderer half through a window with a large shard of glass through his leg.Star looked at the creature and his eyes widened.It was one of the kids from Owl city and the kid had blood stained tears streaming down his face along with scratches and bites all over his arms and legs.The kid must've been asleep when the horde came in and Star fealt bad for the kid,knowing he did nothing to deserve that abrupt of an end.
Star walked up to him and drove his staff through the poor wanderers head putting it to rest.He searched the wanderers body and found a pair of earbuds with an mp3."Wow I wonder if it still works."Star turned it on and gasped when he found Rise against-Savior and began blasting it through his headphones,glad to have heard music in so long.
He walked throughout the city putting on new songs when he finally found The neighbourhood-Afraid and sang along to it softly while looking at wanderers that had been people at one point in their poor lives.Star killed as much as he could before breaking down in the middle of a secure street.He knew he would end up like them at one point in his life and he fealt a hand on his shoulder.
He looked around thinking it was Raven but it had been a wanderer that was halfway to his neck already.Star slammed his staff into its face,knocking it back,far enough for Star to get up and get ready to fight.The wanderer lunged at him but Star forces his staff through its mouth until it went all the way through,killing the wanderer in the process.
He panted a bit and pulled his staff away from it,walking back to camp to split the food up for the week with Raven,and Moon.He walked to it and counted 30 cans of beans,peaches,raviolli,and etc.He put 10 of the cans into his own tent and the rest with the others.
Stars P.O.V-
I decided to think for a while,so I walked to a nearby lake with my staff and ankle pistols because you can never be sure about where you can encounter someone or something.I took my clothes off so I was bare and jumped into the lake.It was about 1 in the morning so everyone was asleep except for me.I was always more of a night-owl compared to the others so they were used to me coming back late in the morning.
No wanderers came out this far from the city due to their instinct to stay in large packs.I hopped out of the stream and got back into my clothes,grabbing my staff and walking back to camp.I saw a wanderer getting closer to our fire and I wondered why this one was so far out from the rest.I grabbed it and quickly threw it into the fire,watching it burn and moan in agony.
I extended my staff farther then usual and it had turned into a bow.I grabbed Ravens pack of arrows and jumped up into one of the trees so i could see any wanderers from above that were getting far too close to our camp.I didn't hear anything while looking and I sighed in relief before looking at the city.The largest building was on fire and I knew that the wanderers didn't start it.
Some of the people from Owl city must still be alive and are likely looking for me to execute me.I slowly slid down the tree trying to make no noise at all while looking at the burning building.I walked back to the base and slid into our tent and looked at Raven and Moon knowing we would have to move.I went into my bag and fell asleep while hugging both of them,hoping the news wouldnt be too bad.
3rd P.O.V-
10 Hours later/
Star and Raven had both woken up and were now speaking about the move."Raven we cant bring everything with us.We're gonna have to leave some stuff behind or we are gonna be slowed down."Raven looked down and thought for a bit before finally thinking up something,"We will bring only the food and the water and our one tent.We burn the rest regardless of on how personal they are.
Star decided he would have to leave his photo's of his family behind but he was fine with it.He hated the nightmares he constantly had if he had died with his family and what would have happened to Raven if he hadn't been their.Raven and him both snapped out of their past and heard a noise.A horde was coming their way.
TIME WAS RUNNING OUT.
