Namjoon had been home for a week or two, he was happy to see his parents and he spent time with his younger sister. He even got to meet her boyfriend, who in his option wasn't good enough for his sister. Then again, no one was. It was late at night and everyone was in bed, he had owned an apartment way back when, but his parents house was always lively and he didn't want to be alone. His sister was even staying over despite her boyfriend who shared a place with her being mildly upset. Everything seemed pretty put together for once, again.
The hallway light flicked on and a familiar brunette came walking in. She handed Namjoon his phone.
"It kept going off." She said walking over to the coffee pot and changing the filter. Namjoon looked at his phone and saw he had messages. Upon further investigation he saw it was from Jackson.
"Hey man, I heard your in Seoul. Well me and Mark's wedding is in a few days. I was wondering if we could maybe get together." There was another message that followed. "Like have a few drinks and talk, I'm nervous. I mean I know me and mark are technically already married, but everyone is going to be at this one. Call me please man." Namjoon clicked his phone off and set it on the table. His sister walked over with two cups of coffee and some cookies.
"Who was it from?" She dunked a cookie in her coffee and ate it.
"It was from Jackson, he's nervous about his wedding." Namjoon blew on the hot liquid before taking a sip. Then grabbing a cookie to cool his mouth a bit.
"The mighty arrogant Jackson Wang, nervous? Really?" She dramatically gasped and ate another cookie. Namjoon smiled and shook his head.
"Apparently, I don't know if I should help though. But I am going to be his best man." His sister took a gulp of her coffee and picked up a cookie pointing it at her brother.
"Then it's your job, you don't have a choice. Plus you and Jackson have been friends for a long time. It's only right you help him with this. Plus he can return the favor when you get married." Namjoon nodded and stared at the dark liquid in his cup. The thought of being with someone forever, it wasn't foreign, but he was getting old. His thoughts went to Jin, it was unexpected but Jin hadn't found anyone either despite being "worldwide handsome." Namjoon let out a small laugh and a smile displayed on his lips. Jin was such an odd character at times, in fact he still is. "Who are you thinking of?" Namjoon looked up and shook the thought from his mind.
"No one, why don't you get some rest you have classes tomorrow don't you?" His sister rolled her eyes and finished her coffee.
"Alright, I'll leave you here to think. Goodnight oppa," he waved as his sister walked back to her room and turned the hall light off. He put up the cookies and washed the two mugs before sitting back down at the table with his phone.
He texted Jackson a reply, "Hey man, we can meet up. How about the bar near the old BigHit building?" He left it at that and went to bed for the night.
When he woke up he saw Jackson had texted back. He had agreed, and suggested to meet up at two. Which meant Namjoon had a few hours. He got out of bed and was greeted by his elderly dog Rapmon. The dog never had taken much interest in him even though the damn thing was named after him. But this was most likely one of his final years of life and he seemed rather happy to see Namjoon. As he followed him into the living room where his sister and her boyfriend sat.
"Morning Namjoon," the boyfriend greeted and he smiled and bowed. "Though Rapmon might like to see you, he just got healed up from surgery." Namjoon looked down at the dog concerned.
"Why did he have surgery?"
"He's old he broke his leg, they had to put pins in it to heal it. I guess you and your dog are more alike than you though huh oppa?" His sister said laughing a bit. Namjoon bent down and rubbed the dogs head.
"You and me are pretty clumsy. Yeah old boy." The dog licked his hand and Namjoon kissed it's forehead.
By the time he got to the bar Jackson was already there holding a beer he had yet to open, in fact he was just fidgiting with it. Namjoon sat down next to him.
"Hey dude thanks for coming," he said confidence drained from his voice, he sounded sheepish.
"No problem whats up?" Jackson rubbed the glass beer bottle with his thumb.
"A lot, all me and Mark have been doing is planning this damn wedding. The closer it gets the worse I feel, we went over the guest list today. We have more of the ASC cast coming than our own band members." Namjoon frowned, he felt truly bad for Jackson.
"Did you ask them?"
"Ya they had the right to know. JB said congratulations but he can't make it because he's isn't in Korea. Jinyoung just hung up the phone. Youngjae said he would make it if he was able. BamBam was fully supportive and convinced Yugyeom to come. However if any of them will actually show up is anyone's guess. Plus Mark chose one of his LA friends to be his best man. Apparently he is a good guy and won't spread rumors but with his friends I never know. This whole thing is a mess." Namjoon placed a hand on Jackson's shoulder and squeezed it.
"Look, your stressing way too much about this. Who's wedding is this?" Jackson looked up at Namjoon.
"Mine and Marks."
"Right, now who are the only people that actually matter in this wedding?"
"Me and Mark?"
"Exactly, so quit worrying about everyone else. It's supposed to be you and Marks special day. No one else matters, the only thing that you should be concerned about is how tight your going to old your husband after it's all set and done. Alright Jackson?" He nodded and hugged Namjoon.
"Your right, thanks for reassuring me dude. You really are one of my best friends." Namjoon hugged Jackson back and smiled.
"I know man, I know."
