It had been almost three months and Jin hadn't really spoken to Namjoon. He asked occasional questions like what Namjoon wanted for dinner or how his day was. Other than that he didn't really even see Jin, he had taken up shifts at the clinic again and sometimes spent the night there. It almost hurt the younger, who was often left in the house alone. Namjoon was in a walking cast and was able to go out more. He even managed to have his car insured and planned to buy a new one soon. He wondered if Jin was tired of him being around, or maybe he didn't like the fact Namjoon liked men. However he had never been this close minded, maybe he had changed.

Namjoon ventured out of the house and called a cab to go out to a local bar in town. It was late and who knows when Jin would be home. He walked in and saw the bar was nearly empty on a Thursday night. He sat at the counter and the bar tender seemed more than happy to have a customer.

"What will it be sir," he said in a polite tone. It was nice hearing voice especially one that was coming out of an attractive mans mouth.

"Give me a glass of straight up vodka please,"

"Not even a shot. Wow who screwed you over?"

Namjoon shook his head and waved his hand as he watched the blond male shrug and pull out a beer glass filling it halfway with clear liquid, before sliding it over to him.

"No one, I just need to get drunk. Im bored," he said rasing his eyebrows before downing a big gulp of the burning liquid.

"Just like drinking lighter fluid eh?"

Namjoon nodded, "Pretty close im gonna assume."

He smiled as he finished the glass and asked for another, by the time he was done with his third glass he was pretty drunk, not wasted but getting there.

"Your pretty attractive, for a bar tender," he said smiling to reveal his dimples.

"That's cute but I don't think you want to do something you'll regret dude."

"Who says I will regret it. Let me tell you a secret. I haven't actually had sex in like over a year." He said smiling and looking at the blond man behind the counter.

"Look dude your handsome and all, but I don't believe for a moment men are your first choice. I'll do you a favor and give you the only thing I'm allowed to administer on the job." He said.

He started to mix a light brown colored drink before setting it in front of Namjoon.

"I give you a screaming orgasm, hold the alcohol and add the coffee. I have about thirty minutes before I close up and go home, try to sober up will you." He said and went to the back with a tray full of glasses. Namjoon sighed and stirred at the drink despite its name it wasn't much of a pleasure to drink.

It was just Irish Cream and cold coffee. He downed it and slammed the glass on the counter glad he didn't break it. He put his money on the counter and left. About half way down the sidewalk he felt the cream and alcohol curdle in his stomach before emptying it's contents on the side of the street. There weren't many people around to witness but he could of cared less. His phone buzzed in his pocket and he pulled it out not bothering to look who it was before answering.

"What?"

"Namjoon where are you? I've texted you like seventeen times."

"Oh hey Jin. Yeah well I'm a grown man if you forgot. I went to have a drink. The bartender was gorgeous, even prettier than you," he chuckled a bit at his own statement before continuing. "Yeah but he wouldn't do anything with me. Why is that? Am I ugly hyung. No one will love me. Hell your even tired of me. I'm just too boring, I can't get a girlfriend and men don't like me."

He tripped while he was walking and fell the phone still clutched to his ear, he rolled over on his back and groaned, the heat from his forehead being soothed by the pavement.

"Ouch! Damn walking cast, anyway. I should just leave Jin, don't you think? I mean your obviously homophobic, I don't want to intrude on you anymore. I'll pack my stuff and go."

He yawned as he spoke and his eyes shut. "I'll miss you Jinnie, your cute smile. Your pretty face, the way you laugh. Your one of a kind. I wish I coul..." He yawned again and stopped talking to tired to continue as he passed out on the sidewalk.

"Namjoon? Kim Namjoon! Are you still there. Namjoon?"

Jin got no answer and eventually drove out to town and he walked about a quarter block from the bar and saw Namjoon his phone next to his head as light snores escaped from his mouth. Jin was embarrassed, from what Namjoon had said over the phone to the fact he was now looming over the younger who was so wasted he passed out on the sidewalk.

Jin picked him up and carried him to the car. He felt tears well up in his eyes remembering how the man next to him had described himself as useless. There was a reason Jin had been avoiding him since he found out the youngers sexual orientation. However it wasn't because he thought it was wrong. It was because he liked Namjoon, he was escaping his feeling like he had done all those years ago, when he dated. He didn't like the fact he now needed someone to be happy and especially because it was his best friend he wished it would stop. He parked the car and wiped his tears, getting out to take Namjoon inside.
The younger looked hopeless, but cute non the less. Jin wanted nothing more than to curl up into bed with him and hold him, share their warmth. Snore just as loud as him and sleep forever with him in his grasp.

That was also the exact reason he left. He stopped thinking and left going to his room and closing the door behind him. He did have to be distant and he didn't have to push Namjoon away he knew that. He also knew that if Namjoon didn't like him he wouldn't have agreed to stay with him. Jin laid in his bed confused, frustrated and tired of his own fear leading his life.
