*BRYCE POV*

after In-N-Out , tayler & i decided to go back to our hotel & just chill. after sitting in my hotel room , staring at the ceiling for 8 minutes , i decided to text kayla hoping she'd answer. tbh she was pretty cute but i swear ive seen her from somewhere before , i just can't pinpoint it.
tayler was down at the hotels swimming pool while i told him i was gonna stay back.

me : hey kayla it's bryce from In-N-Out 😛.
she answered pretty fast.
kayla 🙈💯 : oh hey bryce wyd ?
me : laying in my hotel room , wby ?
kayla 🙈💯 : eating my food.
me : lol cool cool , anyways i wanted to ask you something.

*tayler walks into the room*
"hey man , who you texting ?" he asked looking at the phone in my hands.
"nobody ..." i said awkwardly.
he laughed & tried to grab the phone out of my hands but i pulled my hands away & pushed him off.
"dude i told you nobody," i said.
"mhm," he replied smirking.
i decided to just text kayla that i had to go.

kayla 🙈💯 : yeah wassup ? everything okay ?
me : oh yeah everything's fine , but anyways ill just tell you tomorrow. imma hang out w tayler & get some sleep. alrite ?
kayla 🙈💯 : okay , have fun. goodnight 😊.
me : goodnight love 💗.

i just layed there w the biggest , dumbest smile on my face. why was there something ab her ? she seemed different. but i couldn't get my hopes up that quick. especially from what happened w my last girlfriend. i expect so much but get so little. but im also leaving in 2 weeks , i was only in texas to see tayler for a little bit. i didn't feel so comfortable to stay at his family's house so i stayed at a hotel & tayler decided to come along so i wasn't lonely.
but man , my last girlfriend broke my heart. we were together for 2 years & i really thought she was the one tbh until i found out she was cheating on me w one of my best friends for 6 months. i found out by walking in on them making out. yeah ive seen them hang out every once in awhile but i never thought anything was going on between them. i was really clueless. but i haven't dated anybody since her , & that was almost a year ago.
"hey bro , you okay ?" tayler nudged me noticing i was in my thoughts for awhile. "yeah , im fine," i mumbled. tayler gave me that 'are you sure' look. i just nodded , knowing i lied. i hate thinking ab her & what shes done to me but i can't stop. good thing i left her in maryland , i hope i never see her again. i started thinking until i drifted off to sleep.
