After I explained everything to Grian, he didn't seem as freaked out as I thought he would be. Despite the fact that I told him he was currently in a house full of blood thirsty vampires, he was relatively calm.
"So," Grian began, "Let me see if I got this all correct."
I motioned for him to continue. "You and that other dude are vampires, and you brought me to your coven, full of other vampires, to see why your 'charm', or whatever, wasn't working on me."
I nodded, "Yeah, that's pretty much it."
"And I can't leave because you think I'll tell people where your coven is, even though I was knocked out when you brought me here and you could just knock me out so that I can leave."
"Well, you see, it's not that simple. You already know too much for us to let you leave."
"But you didn't have to tell me all this, you could have just let me leave."
"I don't think you realize how rare a case like yours is, it's fascinating."
He scoffed, "So you're gonna keep me here and study me like a science experiment?"
Despite how simple it would have been to just let him leave, I don't think I would be able to handle that. I can't explain it, but I don't want him to leave. Yet, at the same time, it was incredibly dangerous to keep him here, as a human that is.
I know it was a little selfish, but I wanted to keep him around, even if no one else liked it. After all, what they didn't know, couldn't hurt them.
"It'll be fine. You can just stay in here. No one else knows you're in here, plus there's no reason you would need to leave this room. So, you should be fine," I explained.
"What about food, I need food to survive," Grian crossed his arms.
"I can get you that. Look, anything outside this room that you would need, I'll just get and bring in here."
"What about a bathroom?"
"That door," I pointed to a door on the left side of the room.
"Okay, but where am I gonna sleep? There's only one bed," Grian pointed out.
I shrugged, "We can share."
Grian shook his head, "Oh no no no no no! I'm not sharing a bed with a vampire."
"I'm not going to drink your blood while you sleep."
"How can I trust your word? Plus, I don't know you."
"Fine, then you can sleep on the bed and I'll take the couch. Will that make you feel better?" I asked.
He nodded, "Very much so."
"There, now, I'd suggest we sleep. I have stuff to do in the morning."
---
I groaned as I was awoken by someone pounding at my door. I slowly got up. I'm never, ever, sleeping on that couch again.
I made my way to the door and slowly opened it, "Yes?"
"Taury~! You know, if you wanted alone time with the guy, you could have just told me," Sam gazed up at me with a knowing look.
I sighed, "Listen, I don't know what Dom told you, but I slept on the couch last night, so I'm not in the mood for any of this."
Sam frowned, "Why didn't the human take the couch?"
"Because I was being nice," I said flatly.
"Anyway, are we getting rid of him today or.." He trailed off.
