No woman should have to be modest to be respected,
You shouldn't let that boy's tattoos and piercings decide whether or not he's to be trusted.

That nerd shouldn't have to speak more to be remembered,
The days of your life needn't be numbered.

We shouldn't have to dress well to make impressions,
Neither should you let appearances decide intentions.

Grades don't define your intelligence,
Those degrees won't rest with your skeleton.

Money doesn't insinuate happiness,
For all you know that billionaire's life could be a mess.

Delicate doesn't mean weak,
Each one of us is subject to critique,
You don't have to exert yourself, you were born unique.

These are things we already know,
But, are they things we really follow?

Everything you own need not be to flaunt,
Straight up, be exactly who you want.
