In my opinion, the spelling of your words is more important than your grammar in a Star Wars fanfic. Like really, b-tch please. So if that's the case, I don't wanna see 'lightsaber' spelled as 'lightsaver' in your fanfic. I don't wanna see 'skywalker' spelled as.... uhh how could somebody even misspell that? It's just.... annoying. If you do those mistakes then you're not considered as a real Star Wars fan then.
