Katherine's pov

I woke up with probably the worst hangover I had ever experienced in all my twenty-one years of living. But I had to work tonight and I saw that the clock was already one in the afternoon.

I looked around the room and saw that I had ended up at Claire's and James' yesterday. I will be living with them now whilst I'm searching for a new apartment.

Luckily they had a sofa which was comfortable enough for me to sleep on for the next... I don't even know, two weeks? Month?

I got up and took a shower and stole some clothes from Claire's wardrobe, she was already at work herself, and then I brushed through my hair and applied light makeup.

My headache was killing me so I searched through their cabinets in the bathroom to find some kind of aspirin to ease it down. When I did find a bottle of painkillers I swallowed two and went out in the kitchen to eat some breakfast.

I checked my phone whilst eating a sandwich at the dinner table. I saw that I had a missed call from Harry, at 4:23 am. I ignored it and opened a message from Claire instead.

"I hope your headache isn't too bad, babe. Want to go apartment hunting tomorrow? Love you x"

I smiled and quickly responded that I was okay and I most definitely wanted to look for an apartment with her. To be honest, I was too happy about looking for an apartment, I had been living with Aidan for so long and I thought moving out would feel worse.

Suddenly James appeared in the kitchen, looking freshly awake and tired as hell.

"Good morning" He said whilst yawning and sitting down next to me at the table.

"Good morning to you too" I smiled and drank some of my juice.

I remembered that I still had to grab my stuff from the apartment that I lived in with Aidan, I had everything there. Clothes, shoes, photos, books, basically everything.

"James... Can you please go with me to Aidan's and get my stuff like tomorrow morning or something?" I asked him and bit my lip. I really hoped he would say yes because I didn't know how Aidan would react to me being there but having someone with me would mean that he couldn't do anything.

"Of course, Kath" James answered and smiled at me, he laid his hand on top of mine and looked at me.

I smiled back at him and finished my breakfast whilst talking to him about yesterday, leaving the bit about mine and Harry's fight out, I couldn't even think about that right now.

I walked into my job around 5 pm and prepared the bar for people by taking down chairs, cleaning tables and starting the cash register. The first guests rolled in after 6 am, it was a couple of colleagues coming here for an after work.

I quickly served them a couple of beers and put it on their tab before handling more costumers. I worked at one of the busiest bars in the area and I was unfortunately working alone tonight.

Whilst I was making a drink for a woman at the bar I looked up and saw Niall, Liam and Louis walk into the bar. I didn't see anyone else in their group and I relaxed. Louis looked at me and smiled, he pushed the other boys and pointed at me before coming towards the bar and sitting down.

I finished the drink and gave it to the woman before turning to them. "Hi!" I said happily and smiled widely.

"Hey, Kath" They smiled and ordered a round of beers for them which I gave them.

"You work here? I had no idea" Louis said and sipped his beer whilst looking at me, waiting for an answer.

"Oh, yeah. I've been working here since I came to England" I laughed lightly and gave someone else a Guinness.
