Chapter 6: A wolf and a spirit...were we meant to be?

Louis' POV:

"Louis....I'm sorry!" Her whimpering voice brought me back to reality.

My dark eyes were locked with her sad, puppy ones. Tears streaming freely down her face and neck. She slowly, almost unbearable moved towards me.

Halla's POV:

"She's more worth it than any of you will ever be!"

I saw Louis storming out the door. Better said I saw a wolf the size of  my bedroom door. I turned my gaze towards Philipe.

"I have to go after him!" I yelled.

"Go then. But hurry up before I change my mind."

"Got it, lover boy!" I ran past Philipe and out of the hotel following the trail Louis left behind in the snow, all the while thinking about what he said. "She's more worth it  than any of you will ever be!" His words echoing through my head. My tears started falling. He loved me and I screw it up for both of us! I shouldn't have remained in the garden at that fast-food restaurant.

I finally reached a cave where his paws were no longer visible in the snow. I entered it and saw him, sitting down, his legs apart and his back against the wall. He didn't seem to notice me so I mustered up my courage and said:

"Louis...I'm sorry!" My words seemed to shook him out of his daydreaming. His dark eyes were fixed on me. I wanted to hug him, but truth be said I was afraid of his reaction. I moved slowly, almost unbearable, my heart screaming all the while: "Move faster, bitch! You love him!" But I was too afraid to listen to it.

When I finally reached him, my knees were so weak that I fell onto them, right between his parted legs. I brought my hands around him and rested my head on his chest, my tears soaking his shirt.

"I'm sorry! For what I did at KFC. I shouldn't have spied on you, but you mesmerized me. I'm sorry for staying in that garden and making everything harder for you! I'm sorry for begging you to not strangle me there when Zeke and his bitch told you to! I'm sorry for entering your room at the hotel! I'm sorry for being here now! But ....I love you! I love you and that's why I'm here. You can yell at me....hell, you can even strangle me here and now, but at least let me do one more thing before I die." I pulled my face away from his chest and sealed his lips with mine. It wasn't a passionate kiss, only a desperate one. A kiss that begged forgiveness. I slowly, almost reluctantly pulled away and rested my head back on his chest.

"And I'm also sorry for your shirt, Louis. I didn't mean to soak it." I felt stupid after that last statement, but he chuckled. I felt his hands circling my waist. I pulled my head away and looked up. I saw him smiling down at me and that melted my heart.

"Your speech was...well...I have no words, but believe me You didn't  have to apologize for anything because I felt the same all this time. I felt attracted to you at KFC, I didn't hurt you in the garden because I didn't want to and I love you, Halla, with all my heart. And don't worry for the shirt...if someone asks I'll say I fell in the snow."

          " Louis...what about Zeke...and Izzy...and Duffy?"

          "What about them?"

" Well...you left them for me. Aren't they going to skin me alive?"

"If they want to skin you alive, they'll have to skin me too. I won't let them touch you. That's my job." I think I started blushing because he put his hand to my forehead and asked me if I had a fever.

          "Louis...I don't have a fever. I have you!"

          "Should I fell offended?"

"No...that means you're warming me up. Besides it's freaking cold here."

"Oh...sorry I forgot you're not a werewolf. Then let's go back before you catch a cold."

"Okay...can I rub it in Duffy's face? The fact that you are with me, I mean"

"Of course. I'll help you with that too." We walked back to the hotel hand in hand where we were greeted by a fuming Dr. Dick. Love is such a pain!
