"Did you see that?" I hissed, pointing at where I'd seen a gold flash.

"See what?" Kharjo asked.

"I think it was Brelas!" I exclaimed.

"Seriously?" Veezare inquired. "How do you know it was Brelas?"

"I saw a gold flash-like thing," I said. "Like a reflection of his armor!"

"Nice detailed explanation," Star said. "Let's go!"

The four of us began to run down the tunnel, two magelights bobbing up and down, armor jingling. The flash looked like it went to the right, into another tunnel.

"How many damn tunnels are there?" I heavily exhaled.

"Only the gods will know," Kharjo said.

"I don't think the gods run this place," Veezare said. "I don't even thing the Daedra run this place."

"Well, aren't Spider Daedra creatures of Mephala?" I asked.

"Spider Daedra?" Star exclaimed. "There are Spider Daedra in here?"

"So at least one Prince is involved," Veezare said. "Why'd it have to be something disgusting as the Webspinner?"

I shrugged. "Hey, look!" I shouted. "Tunnel!"

"Is that a good thing?" Kharjo asked.

"That's where the flash went," I said, slowing down to a walking pace. "That's where it went."

"If you say so," Star said. "Everyone get ready. Who knows what's in there. Could be Spider Daedra." she said looking at me.

"It could," I said.

"It could be Mephala herself, or himself or itself -- whatever," Star confusedly said. "It could also very well be the rest of the team. So let's go."

Star stepped slowly into the tunnel; her magelight in her left hand and her fireball in the right. She took one step at a time, then the rest of us followed behind. The line put Star in the front, me behind, Veezare behind me, and Kharjo in the back.

"Can you see a room?" I leaned up and whispered to Star.

"Nothing yet," she whispered back.

I sighed. Even though there were two brightly lit magelights, it still felt darker then Jo'Randhu's soul.

"Hold on," Star said, putting her arm in front of me, the whole line stopping. "I saw the flash. I saw it."

"For how long?" I quietly exclaimed.

"A few seconds, but the flash disappeared then reappeared for a second," she replied softly.

"Okay. Let's go, then," Veezare said, urging me forwards.

Deep down inside me, I wanted to say 'Who cares about everyone else? Let's save ourselves.' I had a sense of kindness I got from Maril, so that is completely out of the question. Maril would've tried to save everyone, no matter if she died. I needed to think like that.

"Come on," Star said, tiptoeing. "The tunnel curves right."

She turned into the next tunnel. It was a small tunnel, but it led into a giant room. It was like the room Kharjo and I had found when we first entered the caves, but there were no torches.

Star silently hurled her magelight toward the center of the ceiling. The blue light stuck to the tip of a stalactite. She analyzed the room, searching for torch holders.

"Ah," she said, spotting a few lining the walls.

She tossed magelight after magelight into each torch holder, lighting the room an increasingly bright shade of blue. I noticed the edges of the magelights were iridescent; a small ever-changing rainbow of light surrounded the orbs.
