PRYCE'S POV
My parents wanted Corie and I to come to their house for a talk and dinner. I obviously knew what is was about, but I think it was unnecessary. It's been 2 weeks since the little situation between Corie and I in the bedroom and she been walking around and going about her business like nothing happened.
"Colbi baby! You're so cute. I love you so much." I hear Corie say as she comes down the stairs.
I was in the living room with my mini me, and they came down here making noise.
"Pryce baby you look so cute."
I got excited and smiled, "thank you, I mean I try."
"I was talking to my son," She laughed, "but you look okay too."
I looked down at my outfit which consisted of a white shirt, black ripped jeans, a black and white Nike windbreaker, and my black Jordan 12's.
"I look better then okay." I stood up and put Pryce in his carseat and Corie did the same with Colbi.
"Are you gonna drive?" Corie asked as she put the diaper bags over her shoulder.
"I guess, I mean it is my parents' house we're going to."
She nodded and we headed out the door to get this crazy day started.
We all got strapped in and I drove to my parents' house. It was about a 30 minute ride because of traffic, but we got there eventually.
I grabbed Colbi's carseat and Cori handed me Pryce's while she got the diaper bags. She walked ahead of me and rang the doorbell and my mother answered the door right away.
"Corie! Hey, nice too see you." She hugged Corie and glared at me.
"Hey, how are you?" Corie asked as she walked in and I followed behind her.
"Not too bad." My mother closed the door and walked us into the living room.
I took a seat on the couch and placed the twins right in front of me. Corie sat next to me and took Colbi out of her carseat, she told me to do the same to Pryce, and of course I listened.
"Nice to see you, mom." I took Pryce hoodie and held him in my arms
"Mhmmm." She rolled her eyes and left out the living room."
Corie snickered.
"What's funny?"
She turned to me, "nothing. I just love how your mom is on my side."
"There are no sides." I rolled my eyes.
She lifted Colbi up and laid her on her shoulder and rubbed her back. My little girl stared at me and I stared back. I leaned over and kissed her nose and she smiled a little.
"Aww she smiled at me."
Corie sat her on her legs and supported her head, so we could both see her.
"You smiled at daddy? Can you smile at me, baby?" She spoke in her baby voice and Colbi sat there unfazed.
She turned to look at me and it seemed as if she was pleading with her eyes, to get her away from her mother. I laughed when Corie started pouting and talking about how Colbi doesn't love her.
"She's daddy's girl, that's all." I smiled.
My mom and dad walked in and my dad came over to greet Corie and the twins, but he left me hanging. My mom took Pryce from me and my dad took Colbi and they both went to go sit at one of the love seats.
"Before we get started on the interrogation, I want y'all to know that I know you guys are mad at me and I want to apologize."
"We're not mad, Pryce. We're disappointed in you." My mom says as she shook her head.
"We raised you better than that." My dad rocked Colbi because she was getting fussy.
"I know that. I didn't mean for it to happen." I looked down at my son and he stared back at me.
"So, what's the situation? Are y'all together?" My mom asked Corie.
"No, we're not," I turned towards her waiting for her to continue, "We're just co-parenting at the moment and still living together."
"Are you guys dating other people?"
I shook my head no and Corie didn't respond.
"Corie? Are you dating someone?" My dad asked.
She glanced at me, but looked away, "Not really. I mean, no, not yet anyways."
I clenched and unclenched my jaw.
"Well, whatever y'all doing, just make sure you keep the babies out of it. They're too innocent for this nonsense," My mother says as she gets up and heads towards the kitchen, "let's go eat. I didn't cook for nothing."
I was surprised that the conversation didn't go longer and drama didn't occur.
"I cooked, honey." My dad says as we all followed behind her.
"We're one person, so whatever you do, I do." She smiled as she walked through the dining room doors and took a seat at the table with Pryce in her arms.
I followed behind her and sat to the right of her.
Corie came in with Colbi and took a seat to the left of my mom.
"Pryce go get there carseats. We shouldn't spoil them too much." My mom told me.
I went into the living room to grab the carseats and when I returned, the food was laid out the table. My dad had took my seat and I didn't complain, so I just took the other seat and I was sitting across from my my mom now.
