Coming out into the world was great and the air wasn't exactly fresh, but good enough. I saw what looked to be a really tall building off in the distance. Being the odd guy that I am, obviously going in for a closer look. Heard some noises along the way of my first stroll in seven years. Given the impression that I should stay the hell away, I did just that. I saw a guy getting mugged for all he had and I didn't do shit because I was weak and frail looking, All I could have grabbed was my clothes that was too big for me at some point. Which consisted of a light black and blue, striped hoody, along with pants I wore for a school play pretending to be a dad, which was a black jeans that was slightly sagging over my white and black sneakers given to me by my locked up dad and the power of borrowing (stealing).

Not even the cat I met along the way was scared of me and couldn't stop following me around. Whenever I turned around it magically wasn't there anymore but it seemed to appear out of nowhere. Not paying attention, seeing something shaped like a damn rock coming right in the direction of my face. It happened again, I saw a mathematical formula around the rock and grabbed it. Looking cool but ultimately damaging my hand really bad. "Hey you threw your rock this way!" I shouted out to my mystery guy that was playing baseball with a rock apparently, so I did the right thing and threw it back. Landing right in his face, he didn't look too pleased to have his property back.

"What the fuck did you do that for kid?" He shouted at the top of his lungs with a voice that sounded like it was coming from a guy with a hole in his throat after smoking way too much. "Because that's your shit right!" I responded. It was at this moment I realized that wasn't the best way to talk to a guy in this kind of situation, thats my bad for not having any real social interaction in seven years. He came over to say hello along with three other friends. They looked mad for some reason and I was just standing there with a welcoming smile. I was finally meeting other people. Seeing one of them pull out a knife wasn't a good sign and I was forced to back off "dude, don't you think that's a bit much for a first chat?" I asked kindly. "Fuck off!" They said at the same time in perfect sync. When they got closer I realized it was either that they were the same person or maybe they were triplets or something.

My shaggy, long ass hair wasn't helping at all in this moment because the rain started to fall, it got wet and blocked my eye sight. "I wonder if my hair was blond instead of black. would I be able to see through it?" I was thinking out loud, because by the time I had moved my sexy hair out of my face he was already in front of me. His hand moved upwards like an uppercut with a sharp knife at the end. Moving my chin slightly upwards I was able to avoid it. The guy on the right came forward and tried to punch me but for some reason the dude with the knife stopped moving. I noticed right away that somehow they can only move one at a time or only do one action at the same time. But I didn't want to know that what I was thinking was even possible.

With each jab of the knife towards my frail bony ass body I moved quickly and without fail somehow was able to dodge getting my life taken away from me yet again. Seeing it all clearer than I could ever imagine, it was all just numbers and calculations to me. You would think I looked like a guy from a karate movie but it was much less graceful and more like moving out of the in the nick of time. Seeing an opening to grab the knife away from the man after he was about to move and threw it away. Hearing someone scream in the distance. I looked behind me to see who I hit and for a brief moment forgot the men in front of me. They stopped moving and dropped down when I looked. "What the hell just happened?" I thought to myself. Then walking over in the direction where the knife was thrown, only to notice a man looking a lot like the ones I was fighting just now with a knife in is nut sack.

Ok, I don't think anyone deserves that but at least it wasn't me. Turning around, there was someone behind me and for a second there I shouted like a little girl after she thought she saw a monster under her bed. "Nice to meet you mister brown eyes" the very welcoming voice said. When my eyes focused I saw clearly. It was a guy as tall as me standing there with red hair,a huge smile, almost forced and the bravest, most heroic eyes I had ever seen in my life. "Are you going to speak young man, I saw what you did here" he said "what exactly did you see dude" I replied "You just hit a man with a knife in their Johnsons." he responded weirdly. I didn't know where it was going but he asked this, "do you want to join me?". "Sure!" I said excitedly, "But aren't you going to ask what it is I am asking you to join?" He asked kindly.

"Nope." But he didn't have to know that I had nothing to do and nowhere to go. Also knowing nothing of what was really happening outside or how this would play out and me being more eager to have interaction with other people. "Okay then come with me boy" he was asking questions of how I did that I and personally I didn't know how to answer that other than shouting "MATH!". "Very impressive, if I do say so myself, we are going that way" he pointed in the direction of the tall building I was looking at earlier.

As we got closer it got even bigger, I looked up at it and marveled at how amazing it looked. It was metal and seemed to have many floors to it like some sort of apartment building but curled upward like a drill. It left a huge shadow. "Wow, this is amazing!" I said in childlike wonder while he looked at me and replied "you'll meet the people that made it on the inside". Someone had made something like this and it was absolutely amazing to my ten year old brain stuck in this seventeen year old body.

Walking inside,it looked like a factory. Red hue in the colour of the room, people speaking loudly and it looked like they were manufacturing something. "Come this way, boy" I was asked to follow and I did. We walked into a lift and the next thing I knew, it opened. We walked down a long hallway, as he was in front of me I couldn't help but notice how big he was and very well built. His red hair fell down the back of his red and white coat, being it was the first time I realized he looked like a general. Exiting the hallway I was greeted by the ugliest face I had ever seen in my life. I hate to judge people but damn, this person had breakout world war 2 on his face. Like it almost seemed to have a pimple on every part of his face.

I looked down to avoid to avoid saying something that wasn't nice, he was wearing a nice pair of shoes. All black and a really nice suit for some reason he looked to be well composed like a gentlemen. Opening his mouth was the surprise for me because the first thing he said to me was. "Yo dog what's up?" sounding like a white guy trying to be black and I just said "I'm good".

Noticing that behind him there was a dinner hall filled with people. Everyone stuck to themselves except this guy I was suddenly sitting across a table from and I replied a couple times with yes or no. But I was looking around to see what made this place stable enough to live in.

"My name is Gary and sorry for the shitty face yo" I just shook my head and grabbed his hand, giving him a handshake, looking up awkwardly mumbling the words "nice....to meet ya too yo". he was a nice guy, putt his arm over my shoulder and lead me to what looked to be a bedroom. Everything was built with metal and I was wondering how it was so cold inside each room. It was two bunked beds against each wall, left and right side of the four walls in the room. I sat on the bed and Gary blabbed, almost like he couldn't stop talking. The only thing I heard is that this is my bed now.

Two girls was coming into the doorway and one of them looked really sad while the other was getting blabbing on the same level as Gary did to me by the girl on her right. "Hello new guy!" shouted out loud by the blabby girl "my name is Sarah and the quiet one is Wendy". I wasn't focused on her, just noticing the other girl because she didn't talk at all, just looked right at me. The second our eyes met she looked away and I did the same. She was wearing a black mini skirt with a purple hoody. For some reason she wore no shoes. Going to sleep that night the boys slept on one bunk bed and the girls on the other. They were sleeping and Gary was still talking about how its cool to have a nice place to stay in all this destruction.

Destruction was the word that caught my attention. What's really happening here anyway. Why is there people inside a building made of metal? Why is it cold in here? Why am I even here and what the fuck is happening? "Lets sneak out" Gary blabbed, but I actually listened this time because I was interested.
