shin hayeon looked around as she lost her childhood best friend, kim yongguk in the arcade for the third time.
neither of them had been to the arcade since they were kids and the normally quiet yongguk was slightly too excited about being there.
"yongguk!" hayeon called out, looking past the throng of kids and youngsters milling around the dimly lit arcade.
she sighed and shrugged, knowing that she had lost him twice already, she would soon find him.
she jingled the tokens in her coat pocket and looked for something to play. she looked at the dance game which she and yongguk used to play when they were younger. they were really bad at it.
after that, her eyes were drawn to the drum set with a large screen and sound effects coming from it. a smile lit up her face and she went over to the machine.
she inserted some tokens and picked up the drum sticks from the rack. after selecting a song from the selection of songs, she began to play.
it wasn't long before she cleared several levels, this had been one of her favourites back in the day. satisfied with herself, she put down the drumsticks and turned away from the screen.
she was shocked to see a small crowd that consisted mostly of young kids were watching her. she gave them a wave and walked away, not looking at her audience too carefully.
she had just spotted yongguk shooting hoops by himself in one of the brighter corners of the arcade.
hayeon was just about to head there when she turned back to the area where the drum game was. she saw a tall darkhaired guy in a eyecatching orange sweater staring at her from afar.
his eyed widened when he noticed her looking back and he looked away, placing his phone to his ear as if he was answering a call.
hayeon looked at him for a few moments before shrugging and heading to where yongguk was.
