Recently, my grandmother had passed away. It crushed me, and my entire family, so it was kind of depressing at home. Shawn, my boyfriend, knew, so he told me he was taking me on a surprise to cheer me up! I had absolutely no idea where we were going or what to where, but I was just glad to get out of the house.

When he finally showed up, he gave me a blind fold, but still didn't give me any clues as to where we were going. I gave up after asking 50 times and kept quite until the car stopped. "I'm scared", I thought out loud.

"Why?" Shawn asked with a little chuckle. 

"What if you're taking me into the woods to kidnap me" I asked.

"As tempting as that sounds...I'm not. You'll be fine, Y/n" he joked.

After a little walking, he opened the door to a building and pulled my blindfold off. I stared in awe as I saw the little blanket fort that had been set up in the warehouse. I turned to him and gave him the biggest hug and squealed a little. He chuckled and pulled me inside it. There, I saw his laptop with a movie ready to be played and snacks ready to be eaten. "Why did you do all this for me?" I asked out of curiosity.

"Because," he started, "I just wanted you to forget about your grandmother for a little while and be happy. I wanted to see you smile and hear you laugh again. I love you, Y/n" he explained.

All I could do was wonder how I got lucky enough to have him in my life.
