Meeting The Others

Kaneki nods and grabs her hand, "Do you wanna go to the movies or to the mall?"

(Y/N) shrugs, "Like I said. You can choose. Either way anything with you will be fun." She smiles brightly and holds his arm.

Kaneki smiles back and kisses her cheek, "Let's go meet the others!" His eyes sparkle as he has that idea.

(Y/N) nods happily, "Sounds like fun. Let's go!" Kaneki holds her hand tightly and walks out of the house locking the door starting to walk to Anteiku.

"We were just here but you didn't get to meet anyone but me. You'll love the others. They accepted me and helped me when I needed food. They'll do the same for you. I don't know about Touka though," he says pausing for a moment, "she's kind of a jerk. And I think she might like me. Just don't listen to anything she says to you. Okay?"

(Y/N) nods, "I've met Touka. She's my best friend. She never told me she was working at Anteiku until I went there today. I had to figure it out myself. She was the first person I met here. She's a ghoul?"

Kaneki nods slowly, "she doesn't like her lifestyle. She hates the way she was born. When I first met her she couldn't understand why humans like the things they do and Touka being the aggressive little fireball she is beat my ass when I didn't want to eat flesh. She forced me to eat it and I just couldn't do it." He says staring at the floor as they walk.

(Y/N) looks at him slightly, "She's not aggressive towards me. Probably because she doesn't know that I'm a ghoul," she sighs, "I can't believe that she's my best friend and we haven't even told each other what species we are." She looks down at the floor sadly, "I feel like she doesn't want to be my best friend," a tear slides down her cheek.

Kaneki looks over, "Oh no honey don't cry!!" He picks up her chin and looks into her eyes, "She totally wants to be your best friend. When she makes a friend she keeps them. Forever. I promise." He kisses her cheek and hugs her tightly, "She won't leave you."

(Y/N) sniffles and smiles as she hugs back, "Thanks Kaneki."

Kaneki let's go of her and grabs her hand again walking with her to Anteiku.

-Time skip-

"Stay out here. I want them to be surprised when I bring you in okay?" He asks her kissing her cheek. She nods slightly as he walks in greeting everyone, "I was already here earlier but I have something to tell you all. So I met this girl. She's really beautiful and sweet and she's one of us," he pauses, "well one of me. She a half breed." He walks out the door and brings you in smiling, "Everyone meet (Y/N)!"

Touka looks at you in surprise, "(Y/N), you're a ghoul?!" You nod shyly, "you're one too huh? Why didn't you tell me? You are my best friend. You're supposed to tell me everything."

"I was scared you would hate me because I'm a ghoul. But now that I know it just brings us closer," Touka hugs her smiling. She smiles and hugs back as the others stand there in silence.
