Same Day: Knowhere
Outside: Bar Balcony 🌹

Groot, Rocket and Drax are inside the bar, getting drunk while Peter, Rosemary and Gamora stand out in the balcony, talking and Gamora mentioned about how her contact is making them wait.

Peter leans his hands on the railing, he tells Gamora, "It's just a negotiation tactic. Trust me, this is my specialty." He leans his right forearm down on the railing, leaning his hip against it, facing Gamora, "Where yours is more, 'Stab, stab. Those are my terms.'" Rose looks up and moves her position to stand beside Peter on his left as he's facing Gamora.

Gamora's head tilting down as she concentrated on her sword, she turns her head to look at Peter and smiles in amusement at his words, "My father didn't stress diplomacy."

Rose asks curiously, "Thanos?"

Gamora looks at Rose with a serious and anger look at the mention of Thanos, "He's not my father." Rose looks at her questioningly and Gamora explains as she looks forward, "When Thanos took my home world, he killed my parents in front of me. He tortured me, turned me into a weapon. When he said he was going to destroy an entire planet for Ronan, I..." She looks down, sad, "I couldn't stand by and..." She trails off and looks down, noticing Peter's Walkman on his belt and takes it in her hands, "Why would you risk your life for this?" Rose watching Gamora carefully, seeing that she's a good distance from Peter.

Peter tells Gamora as she plays the Walkman, "My mother gave it to me." Gamora looks at him as he explains, "My mom liked sharing with me all the pop songs that she loved growing up. I happened to have it on me when I was..." He struggles to say, "The day that she..." Rose rubs his back in comfort, "You know, when we left Earth." Peter gently takes the Walkman from Gamora and puts it back on his belt, he looks at Rose and she gives him a sympathetic smile.

Gamora looks at Rose, "Do you have one as well?" She's referring to the Walkman.

Rose nods as she answers, "Yeah, it's somewhere in the ship."

Gamora asks Rose, softly, "What about your family?"

Rose shifts uncontrollably, crossing her arms but answers honestly, "Uh, my mother was best friends with Peter's mom. Um, she died in a car accident about a month before his mom.." She looks at Peter, saying that her mom died before Peter's mom died and they were abducted. Peter looks down, Rose looks back at Gamora, "Peter's family took me in and after that, I've been with Pete since." Gamora offers a small smile which Rose returns.

Gamora asks them as she looks at the Walkman, "What do you do with it?"

Rose answers, "Do? Nothing. You listen to it."

Peter adds, "Or you can dance."

Gamora tells them, seriously, "I'm a warrior and an assassin. I do not dance."

Peter questions, "Really? Well, on my planet, there's a legend about people like you. It's called Footloose." Rose looks away, biting her lip, trying not to laugh, "And in it, a great hero named Kevin Bacon, teaches an entire city full of people with sticks up their butts that dancing, well... it's the greatest thing there is." Rose silently chuckles at that.

Gamora asks Peter, curiously, "Who put the sticks up their butts?" Rose covers her mouth as she chuckles a laugh.

Peter confused, "What?" He tries to correct what he meant as Gamora doesn't understand the phrase, "No, that's just a..."

Gamora says softly and seriously, "That is cruel."

Rose calming her chuckles and says, "It's just a phrase people use."
