Prologue:
Julia's POV
"I told you. You could've gone ahead. Na late ka tuloy umuwi. Gabi na oh!" I said to AJ as I linked arms with him. I had to go finish practice and it was already late when I finished. Sabi ko sknya mauna na siya. But I was surprised na paglabas ko ng gym, nandun siya, nakaupo at hinihintay ako.
"Hmm, what did you want me to do? Leave you alone? No way! Tignan mo tong dadaanan mo pauwi, andilim." AJ, my boyfriend, answered pulling me closer to him. We are now walking down a deserted dark aisle. To tell you the truth, I was really thankful to find him waiting for me. I did not really like the idea of walking home alone.
"Well, yeah, but still. Late ka parin makakauwi saiyo niyan." I reasoned. Usually, sinusundo ako ng driver naming, but since nagka emergency sa bahay, pinauna ko na at nagkataon pang di din kasama ni AJ ang driver nila.
"Okay lang, basta ang baby ko ligtas." He smiled the smile that I adore so much.
When we got to the middle of the aisle, a group of guys started to surround us.
"Hi miss, what's your name?" A guy, probably 6 years older than I, stepped forward.
AJ pulled me even closer to him. He's hand shaking and started to sweat. Dahil natakot na ko at baka saktan pa kami pag di ako sumagot, sinabi ko nlng ang pangalan ko.
"Julia, a very beautiful name. Bagay sayo, maganda ka kasi." I flinched when I felt his hands on my arm.
"GODDAMNIT! Lay one more finger on her and I'll break every bone in your body!" sigaw ni AJ habang hinampas paalis yung kamay ng lalaki.
"Well, pretty boy, you'll regret that. I'll make sure of it." The guys smiled evilly. I felt bile rise on my throat but I swallowed it back.
The man nodded and the other men came forward, grabbing AJ and tearing us apart. I screamed as pain shot through my body when one of the guys pulled my hand roughly.
"F*ck, let her go!" AJ demanded making the man laugh.
"No way pretty boy, just look how beautiful she is. Sayang naman kung pakakawalan ko lang." He ran a hand on my face making me winced.
"bitawan mo siya!" ng sumigaw si AJ tumango ulit yung lalaki at sinuntok naman siya nung isa pang may hawak sknya. Napangiwi si AJ sa sakit at bumagsak ang tuhod sa lupa ng ulit ulitin pa to nung isa sa mga kasama nung lalaki.
"Enough! Please, just, just let him go." I cried as AJ spat blood.
"No way am I letting you go, now that I have you in my grasp." Tumawa ng evil laugh ang lalaki at lumapit pa kay AJ para sipain sa mukha. Nag tititili naman ako, while silently praying na may makarinig sana.
"Please, just let him go." I begged falling on my knees, kahit di ako ang nasasaktan, ramdam ko parin ung sakit dahil nakikita ko ung mukha ni AJ.
"No way, Princess. Unless you tell me who he is." Parang nakikipag laro pa niyang sabi at sinabunutan pa si AJ para iharap sknya ang duguang mukha nito.
"He's AJ, my boyfriend. Just please." Nag panic na ko at agad nlng sumagot.
"Boyfriend huh?" sabi ng lalaki at sinipa ulit ang mukha ni AJ.
"STOP!!" I screamed and tried to be free from their grasp. Mali, Julia, tanga, bat mo sinabi yung totoo?! I mentally slapped my head .
"Just stop, I'll- I'll do whatever you want. Just, just let him go!" I tried to bargain with him. Kung ang sarili kong buhay ang kapalit ng kalayaan niya, okay lang sakin.
"hmm.." He looked as if he was about to agree. "fine then, let him go boys, we're talking Julia with us." Sabi niya at nataranta nanaman ako.
"No, Julia, wag kang lalapit sknya! Julia, tumakbo ka na dali!" AJ tried to sound he was okay, but I knew him too well, hindi na siya okay.
Pinag sisipa ulit siya nung mga lalaki at isa isa ko silang hinila palayo sknya, nut no one budge, they just kept on kicking. Duguan na si AJ pero nag mamatigas parin siya.
"Tama na! Tama na, please just stop. Sasama na ko, sasama na ko. Please." Lumuhod ako sa harap nung "leader" nila at umiyak ng umiyak.
"Ang bait mo naman Julia. Sige, tama na yan." Sabi nito at hinila ako patayo. AJ glanced up at me, silently begging me to just runaway, I'm sorry AJ pero para din to sayo. Nag simula na kami lumakad. Ng bigla akong nakarinig ng dalawang putok ng baril. Tumalikod ako at nakita si AJ, blood dripping from his chest, right through his heart. May dugo din na lumalabas sa gilid ng leeg niya.
Oh God, please, don't take him from me. I love him too much, I can't live knowing his dead, please Lord.
"Di ako kasing generous mo eh, at di siya pweding mabuhay, malalaman ng lahat na ako ang tumangay sayo." A smirk was playing on the leader's lips. May hawak din siyang baril, meaning he was the one who shot him.
"Damn you!" I spat and ran to AJ's side. "AJ, please, please, talk to me, open your eyes." I begged kneeling next to him and holding him in my arms. By the look on his face, I'm pretty sure he won't survive. No, I can't let this happen, this was my fault, I should have went home early like he said. Kung di ko lng pinilit na mag practice, wala sana kami sa situation na ito.
"He's gone." Sabi nung leader as I turned to him. Tumango siya sa mga ksamahan niya at hinila nila ko palayo kay AJ. Nag pupumiglas ako pero may kung anung bagay ang tumama sakin at bigla nlng ako nag black-out.
Wala na kong maramdaman, pero isa lang ang sigurado, wala na si AJ, wala na ang mahal ko...
