When he said she was beautiful he meant it. Every piece of him melted when she was around. As she molded herself into his curves, he couldn't resist burying his nose in her hair to take a great big whiff. It's strawberry wine smell intoxicating him; leaving him dizzy.
They sat on picnic blanket. His back rested a gained an old tree while she sat next to him, leaning into him. He felt complete. Soon, she would be his and whether their five year agreement came true or not he would still be around. He-loved-her. Point black. There was no turning back.
Serena watched Fiarra sleeping at the bottom of her feet. Evan was playing football with a few of his friends. She closed her eyes as Scott traced designs into her thigh. She looked up at him. He then looked down at her and placed a kiss on her nose. She smiled. This wasn't so bad after all.
"Would you like to meet my parents?" she asked.
"Um, are you sure?"
"It's nothing to get nervous about," she assured.
"What? I'm not nervous," he untangled them and looks down at her.
"Sure you aren't," she replied with a smirk.
She started with an uproar of laughter as he tickled her sides; causing Fiarra to awaken. After soothing her back to sleep. They returned to their previous position.
Scott hadn't met her parents yet which was a shame. Now, it was time for him to. She felt a closeness to his parents, a warmth. Now it was time for him to have the same kind of relationship with hers. If anyone was going to be nervous-it was her. She rested her head back onto his shoulder and looked up in the tree. Soon, she fell into a peaceful doze.
Minutes later, Scott gently woke her. She saw Fiarra playing with her toys joyfully and Evan still playing football.
"Time to go. I have some homework to finish," Scott informed standing and stretching.
Serena pretened to be shocked. "You do homework? I thought athletes had cheerleaders or nerds to do their assignments,"
"Well, then, are you one of the two because I have none. And by the way, yes I do homework,"
Serena stood and placed her hands on her hips, giving him a challenging stare. He took the invitation for battle. Scott strategically wound his hands around her torso and pulled her up. She wrapped her legs around his waist and arms around his neck; laughing and demanding he set her on her feet again. Fiarra watched with amused giggles.
Scott kissed her sweetly before setting her down. She almost couldn't stand from dizziness. Lord, bless this man, his lips were heavenly.
"Get a room," Evan said, picking Fiarra up. After a series of jolts and kicks showing that she wanted to be on the ground; he set her down again. "Fine," he stuck his tongue out at her and she giggled uncontrollably.
"I had a great time, Scott," Serena squeezed his hand as they walked slowly to her door.
"I did too," he reiterated, his dimple showing.
She brought her right hand across to touch it. He was the sweetest.
"See you tomorrow, babe. Want me to pick you up?" he kissed her on the cheek.
"Sure," she replied bringing his head down to peck him on the lips.
"Mmm, I don't know if I can leave now," he started to lean over again.
She threw her head back as she laughed, placing both hands on his chest.
"I love to see you being you," he traced her cheek.
