"Oh yes, you are!" Verona tugged her arm.
"Ugh! No I'm not!" Serena fell back onto the bed.
"Why not?" Deena asked.
"Because he's gonna be there,"
"So?" Cassandra chimed in.
"I didn't go for the last two years. Why is it of infinite importance now?" Serena whined.
"Because...you have to," Deena answered.
"I'm not going," Serena said with finality in her tone.
"We'll bring you something to wear," Cassandra stated.

"The summer dance will be epic," Jason dropped into the chair by the window.
"Why?" Scott inquired.
"I'll be there...duh," he answered.
Scott chuckled at his friend. He was still contemplating whether he was going or not. He remmebered his pact with her. She may or may not be there but who cared either way? He didn't want to see her. Okay he lied. He did want to see her.
"You going?' Jason asked.
"Maybe," Scott said truthfully.
"Come on man, you're going. Maybe Serena'll be there," Jason added.
Why did they throw her name at him like tnat?

Serena planted another heel on the ground and stepped out of her friend's car. How did she ever agree to this?
She could see the dim lights, hear the music booming from inside and see everyone arriving dressed to death.
"I came, I saw...can I go home now?" She asked.
"No!," her three friendsexclaimed.
Well, whatever then. She never went to these things. She had successfully not gone to a single one since high school.
Serena stepped inside and nearly got an instant headache. Of course it was warm but the music was another thing.
"Serena Stone," someone stepped infront of her.
"Lucas," she replied.
"You look stunning," he kisse her hand.
"Thank you,"
Lucas was started up conversation. She sighed internally as Deena untangled their arms. Why were they leaving her alone? Not that Lucas anything was wrong with Lucas. He had short, sandy blond hair, sapphire blue eyes and a very nice body and he could be a gentleman if he tried hard enough. However she wasn't interested.
Her heart leaped for joy when another female wanted his attention. Walking a few steps away she stopped to look around.
"Serena," a voice said behind her.
She turned and smiled. "Marc,"
Marc look extremely handsome. He could make a pass at her if he felt like, she wouldn't mind the tiniest bit.
"You look great," he complemented her.
His conversation skills were great. His piercing hazel eyes captured her soul. Still, she wasn't interested.
After a great deal of smiling and laughing, they parted ways. Her cheeks were warm. Maybe it was due to all the flirting she'd just done.
She made her way to the bar. After a cold swig of her drink, she sighed. Serena spotted her girlfriends coming towards her.
