"Scott belongs to me and she is trying her hardest to take him away," Amina answered.
"You sound like a delusional teenager," Serena shot her a look.
"Woah. Mina...where is this coming from?" Scott was bewildered.
"From the moment you set eyes on me and I set eyes on you, we were destined to be You are great at soccer...the star on the field and I'm the cheerleader, the drama queen. We were meant to be,"
"Well, you definitely fit the role of drama queen," Serena mumbled loud enough for her to hear. A small wave of laughter erupted from the soccer team.
"Shut up," Amina replied.
"Hey! Stop acting like twelve year olds. Settle this like the adults you are and I don't want to hear about this situation after today," Coach Donalds stated.
Boy did Serena feel like she was twelve. Especially with the way the coach was talking to them. Coach Donalds turned and exited with the team following in his tracks.
Once again, the three of them were alone.
"You!" Amina started to rush at Serena. Scott grabbed her by the waist and lifted her.
"Easy, Mina," He said rolling his eyes for Serena to see. His eyebrows drew together as he took in her ready stance.
Serena couldn't help it. She may not know how to fight but she knew a little something. For example, she took up a boxing ready position. She learned never to stand straight and present your whole body as a target.
"What?" she asked standing straight again.
"You're not helping," he replied.
Setting Amina down, he stared at her. She wouldn't take this well,he knew.
"Amina, you're pretty and confident and popular," he started.
Serena swore that if she didn't close her now opened mouth, she would catch flies.
"...But I don't like you. I'm not in love with you. We weren't meant to be," Scott listed.
Well never had Serena felt more confident in her life. You tell her Scott!
"You aren't seriously considering dating that," Amina looked genuinely shocked.
"Well-!" Serena was cut off by Scott.
"Not helping," he stated. Serena rolled her eyes.
Amina started to laugh. "You're being serious. Her? Really?"
Scott blinked. What more explanation could Amina want or need? He was in love with Serena. Plain and simple. Although, Serena probably had no idea.
"I can't believe this. Well break both legs," she said to them, shaking her head and laughing as she walked out.
There was a silence and then they themselves laughed.
"She is honestly dilusional," Serena said.
"Yeah. Well we had no idea til now,"
"Glad I could be of assistance,"
"By the way, did you call be your boyfriend back there?" Scott questioned. There was a teasing look in his eyes.
Serena stopped in her tracks. She was hoping to make a hasty get away. Damn him! She turned around slowly.
"Well...you see...um," she stalled.
"I'm not saying I have a problem with it but are you sure you're ready?"
"Actually...I was thinking maybe we are bad for each other. I mean every other time it's something happening. Honestly, I have deep feelings for you ...very deep feeelings and my life has never been more thrilling but we aren't working out together," she explained.
