"a trip to europe?" i asked looking at the computer screen. jaeeun smiled. "yes, you deserve to."

"but my mother. i can't leave her here. and plus, i have school!" i told her like she was crazy. "forget about school. and don't worry. just tell your mom," she told me.

"you make it sound so easy," i said glaring at her slightly. "it'll be fun. you need to get out more."

"i don't need to get out. i just need to die already," i said annoyed slightly. i walked over to my bed and just turned to land on the soft mattress.

"park jimin, you listen here. stop thinking like that! you don't deserve to die, you deserve to live, okay? you're special. after learning how cheerful you were today, i wanted to no other wish but to see you happy like that," she said her voice speaking sternly.

i pulled myself up slowly before looking at her. she stared at me seriously at the chair she sat on. "go to europe with me," she softly said. the silence awkwardly filled the atmosphere, until i finally spoke up. but before i could, there was a knock on the door.

"jimin? you forgot to eat dinner again," my mother voice suddenly said. my eyes widen as i looked at jaeeun. "you need to hide, hurry," i whispered towards her.

"why? just let her see me."
"my mom will get the wrong idea. don't be stubborn now jaeeun."
"i am not stubborn."

"jimin?" the door to my room suddenly opened up and my mother's face peered in. jaeeun and i froze as so did my mother at the door.

"oh.. um, i didn't know you had a vistor?"

a tint of pink showed on my cheeks. jaeeun stood up to her feet as she gave a pleasant smile and bowed politely.

"hi, i'm lee jaeeun, jimin's friend from school," she said. i looked at jaeeun.

"oh, it's nice to meet you. i'm, uh, jimin's mother knowing he didn't introduce me to you," she said chuckling before looking at me.

"sorry mom. we were just doing a small project, uh, for class," i told her.

"actually, mrs. park, may i ask a request?" jaeeun suddenly asked.

"oh, well, i wouldn't see why not dear," she smiled. "my parents work in europe and they are asking me to just visit over there. would it be alright if jimin came with me?"

oh, great jaeeun. *facepalm*

"oh, t-to europe?" my mother asked suddenly. "but he has school. he can't," she said.

"it's alright. i can pay everything for him. my parents wouldn't mind," jaeeun smiled looking at her. "but only with your permission first."

i met eyes with my mother and smiled slightly. part of me didn't want to do, but then the other part wanted me to go. i sighed softly. please let me go.

"i-i don't know. jimin.. do you want to go?" she asked looking at me.

"yes.. i do," i said. and then smiled. jaeeun smiled continuously with me.

"will you be okay? what will i tell your school?" she asked. "don't worry. i'll take care of everything," jaeeun commented.

"i'm sorry to ask but i have to as a mother. are you dating my son?"

"mOM!"

jaeeun gave a small chuckle as she shook her head. "no, we're just really good friends."

my mother gave a small laugh. "oh, i'm sorry!"

i pinched my nosebridge. "alright.. well, i guess it would good for you," my mother suddenly said.

"you're really letting me go?" i asked her as i met my mother's eyes. and she nodde dher head. "of course. just... be safe, okay?"

"don't worry mrs. park. i'll be sure to take care of him," jaeeun said proudly.

"i trust you will," my mother said and then smiled warmly at her. she looked at her like as if she was a child of her's.
