Making his rounds throughout the city, and more thoroughly in the Rider's quarters, Feanaro sighed softly and scratched his bracers. Slightly glaring down at the bracers he sighed and started towards the Princess's room. He knew she could at least figure this predicament out, and if nothing else she could get some pain for himself. In mid thought about the paint he came across the empty magic room, where the new students were on a dinner break. Taking a swift look around he saw a half empty jar of gold paint that was within his reach. Making sure he was quick he walked into the room and snached he jar along with its contents of brushes. Rushing back into the safe confinements of the walls he sprinted to the entrance of the maze.
"Ok. Repaint the circle. Then talk to the princess and then to Gladair. RIght." He whispered to himself. As he made a plan for the rest of the day and into the night. "Or...Or I could just gather the materials to repaint tomorrow and spend more time there" He continued.
Deciding to wait on the actual painting of the room he set the jar down next to the entrance where he would not forget to bring it with him the next time he came this way. Doing a quick turn around he navigated back to the princess's room. Before he entered a flash of gold and green caught his eye. Taking interest he saw one of the four councilmen to the King walking out of her room. Taking interest Feanaro followed the shady man through the halls. The man stopped in a corner as he met with the King himself.
"What did you find out?" The King asked softly.
"Not much. There is a heavy air of magic. Powerful magic, but nothing is out of place, and nothing that would be hiding anything." The councilman said in equal softness.
The King frowned "Are you sure? Nothing related to what we discussed?" He asked.
The man shook his head "But I did notice the Warden's magic. It was faint, overpowered by her magic but I did notice it. I don't think it was from in the room, but from the walls."
"The Warden's magic...it was seeping from his space? That is concerning. We can't have those two together. If She is that powerful, and we both know how dangerous that man is..." The King mumbled to the other.
'What shall we do about them my King?" He asked. Lark looked at him for a long moment.
"Call the rest of the council Wren. We shall discuss this further in private. " The king said and walked down the hall in thought.
Frowning, Feanaro looked at his hands. He hesitated, he knew the princess could handle herself but warning her might have some warnet.
"She probably already knows...woman's intuition is always right" he grumbled making the split second decision to follow the King. There was few places that Feanaro did not venture. He could break through the barriers that the King set up, but he knew that the cleverness would do him in. He was without a doubt, more powerful than the King in the open, but like a kid who wanted to hide something from his parents, the King had his own secrets that feanaro did not want to test so soon.
Walking swiftly down the halls to catch up with the taller male, Feanaro sighed as he came up to the doors to the council hall. One of the places that he laxed on covering, letting the King build up his own personal defences. Making a mental note to scan and make a plan for take down. If the five really are closer than originally thought, then it would be even more important to take over. At least having a plan for it. The others would have a better take on it. Groaning to himself he leaned against the wall and turned back to the princesses room.
Instead of risking showing his face, Feanaro close his eyes and walked into the living room.
"Princess? Are you still here?" He called out, keeping his eyes closed just in case he intruded inappropriately on the lady.
"Feanaro dear, I am here, what is wrong?" The princess said walking out of her bedroom.
"There are things brewing in the Kingdom. The King and his Council are up to something." He said opening his eyes and turning to her.
She nodded slowly "there was a councilman here just a bit ago. I assume they are looking into me?"
"That they are. Val, be on the lookout. I overheard them talking about your magical trail. Its overpowering in here." He said nervously looking around at the hazy room.
" Yes. I know, I had to muffle any trace of your presence. They should have known that I am a proficient at magic unlike your kind. The Queendom of Blaise has for thousand of years produced the best of magicians, quite like how the kingdom of Dared has produced the finest Riders." she said crossing her arms over her chest.
"It is well known, yes. But that still does not help your case. The King is not a forgiving man. Nor does he take kindly to a threat." Feanaro shot back.
"It is no threat."
"Watch your back princess, he is on to us, you may have buttered him up as an innocent gesture but Lark is a snake. His words spell destruction, and his military: death. Just look at the old fortresses of this Kingdome. Not many are left standing since his coming of King." Feanrao warnned.
"I can handle myself Alaxandar Feanaro. You do not have to warn me. Instead warn the others. I know you all too well, if you go down this path to overthrow this city, then you will die. The only thing holding you here are these walls. They shall not come down if you are there to protect them, but any slip of the hand will cost you your life and you will pass the old ways of the Warden to the king." The princess said.
Feanaro bowed his head " I know my place. I can not attack, but drive away the King. As long as there is a purpose for me here then I will remain Warden. There are places that many do not know about. Even is the City crumbles to dust I am still its Warden."
"You talk as if there is a place the King does not know about." She said confused.
"There is, and I have built it up. How else would I know of such magic, and of the old lore. " He said back.
"Would you show me?"
"I can not. It is not a place that you can reach."
"I see. You had better go Fea. The night has come and unlike your kind, I must rest at times." She said.
Feanaro nodded "Of course. I will talk to you soon. Be carefull Princess"
"May the winds be with you and the waves ever calm Feanaro" She said in parting.
"And may the stars guide your way safely" He replied as was her people's custom.
