Anyone with half a brain

could tell that were close.

But now I feel a subtle pain

in a big sudden dose.

I'm happy to see my

bright stars shining together—

it's much better than never.

My prayers were answered

and I'm very grateful.

Yet, there's always a catch.

How was I forgetful?

I don't think there's enough room for me in this happy little picture.

I'm no longer welcome, you see.

And though it hurts my little heart,

I think they'll do fine
without my part.
