Rose Garden

Have you ever held a rose and watched her bloom so beautifully?

Have you felt her thorns pierce you and bleed you out in such lovely tragedy?

Did you relish in her scent and take comfort in her soft petals?

Did you hold her close, knowing what you had was fatal?

Her soft kiss against your skin brings butterflies in your stomach.

You know just thinking about her will send you crawling back.

The golden sun that captured you together has dipped low below the steep horizon,

and now, I let her go to the starry moonlight as I wait for dawn to drag me away.
