I stand corrected about Maggie losing. Percy and I were able to secure another win for Callie.

After the game, we were pooped. Not so much for Izzy though, since that was her first game, but since it was 10:45, she didn't want to go overboard playing matches. We were inside a coffee shop. It was busy, seeing that there was a huge Splatfest going on. The last Splatfest.

Some say it's the last Splatfest until the Square becomes the new norm. I hope so, but then again those are just rumors. I pondered over the thought of more Splatfests whilst sipping a hot chocolate. Whipped cream laced my upper lip. I'm "saving it for later," as my dad always says. The hot chocolate was -obviously- hot, but it was a kind of heat I haven't felt in a while. It's the kind of heat that is too hot to actually taste flavour, so I waited for it to cool down again. My friends were chatting, but I couldn't exactly pick up what they were saying. I was genuinely interested about joining the conversation, but there was something preventing me from doing so.

My thoughts were interrupted by a crackling sound outside. The announcements! It was time to find out who won. The tv screens inside all flipped to the news, where Callie and Marie stoop in their normal sides of the screen. I knew for sure a larger screen was outside and smaller ones were dotted around, so everyone could get the best coverage of this event.

"The Splatfest results are in!" Callie held her hand infront of another screen, showing the results board.
"Ooh!" Marie gawked, acting as a hype-man.
"First, we'll reveal which team was most popular!"
"Come on..."

A scoreboard split in the girls' respectful colour on each side, was covered by a thin band that was labeled "Popularity" and had "0.0%" on each side. Calle and Marie waited impatiently as the percentages randomized before landin on the actual result.

46% Callie, 56% Marie.

"Hah!" Scoffed Maggie. "I knew Queen Marie would have more fans, it's obvious."

Callie and Marie kept talking, and then they followed up with the next category, wins. Once again, the percentages randomized. The area was calm, air flowed through the sea of heads. I could see time slow down.

49% Callie, 51% Marie.

Callie's face dropped, almost as if she were about to cry. It's hard not to cry, especially if so many people are watching you and can already tell you're on the verge of crying. They added up the scores, and Callie got a total of 340, and her cousin got 360. Everyone went ballistic. Green coloured confetti cannons exploded and people were showered in the bright shade. It was pretty, actually, despite the sour tatse of loss. Maggie, from across the table, was taking pictures of outside.

"This is going on Inkstagram for sure." She flipped her SPhone back around vertically in pride.
Percy dipped his head down, and he stared longingly into his cup. "Congrats." He sighed.  I too congratulated the victor, and we all thanked eachother for the fun.

I left after to go to bed, but I was interrupted nearly two hours later.

"Agent 20! You better bust on down over here as fast as you can!" An unidentefiable voice yelled at me.

Me? Now? It's about 11:38 at night. I am tired and in bed. Not now. Bye.

"NOOOW!" I forgot to hang up.

The scream was what woke me up fully in fear that my parents would wake up. Do I tell them I'm leaving? No. I don't have the time. Instead of getting changed into actualy clothes, I put on sweatpants on top of my pjs and put on a sweater. I rushed as fast as i could to my bike, and I didn't even have the time to fully secure my helmet before I started pedalling off into the night.

The streets were silent, an almost eerie sight. I felt like a criminal, running from the cops, and my getaway vechicle was my doohikey bike, brightly coloured in honour of my birth colour, purple.

Once I reached the Plaza, which was about fifteen minutes later, I locked my bike poorly but still secure, before running as fast as I possibly could and jumping down the hole.

"PSY! Hurry! The Zapfish... gone! Callie, too!" Liz grabbed my arm. She was a pale girl, but I've never seen someone missing this much pigmation in their face. She must be in terror. I could hear faint alarms and deep yelling, commanding everyone. Teleport pads were running, weapons are being attatched to ink tanks, people rushing around, doing their best to serve.

"Pay, clothes!" She yelled at a boy further off, Payton! I havent seen him in a while.
"Okay, Psy, we don't have time for you to hide while changing," she started yanking off my sweater, then stopped. "Do you sleep in your match tank?"
"Yeah?" I guessed. It's be a disaster if I didn't. I unbuttoned my nightshirt adn luckily I was wearing my tank top, so we threw on the vest. I slipped on my shoes and popped on my headphones.

"Where's Percy?" Payton asked, standing at the same spot as three minutes ago.
"Don't know." I responded, assuming he was talking to me. I assumed right, and I wasn't cut off by Liz awkwardly.

"I'm right here." Percy walked out from the bathrooms.
"Really? All this time we've been rushing and you've been weeing?" Liz picked up her Hero Shot. Payton cracked up when he heard "weeing."

The four of us stood on the pad and got prepared for deployment.

"Since when do you say 'weeing?'"
"Since birth, wierdo."
