Chapter 17

"Derek, Derek!!!" I yelled as I ran through the never ending darkness. They were all gone and I was alone. My heart was racing as I continued to run through the pitch black space. Out of nowhere an invisible light lit up the room. As I looked around I saw nothing. Jacky appeared out of thin air along with Ronnie, Ryan and Mika. They looked at me glumly with tears glistening in their eyes. "How could you?" Ryan whispered before he dropped to the floor crying in agony. I screamed as I ran and dropped down next to him."NOO!!" I screamed as I grabbed his lifeless body. Then I heard another thud and another and one more. When I looked around all of them were writhing on the ground shaking as if they were having seizures. My tears were flowing down my cheeks and pooling around me. At the same time they all disappeared and the room darkened once again. A spotlight lit up the middle of the room and there stood Derek. He looked at me with such hate I wanted to rip out my own heart right there. "Derek don't leave me!!" I cried. "I trusted, I actually thought you loved me." he said before melting into a pool of blood. I screamed and cried until I slowly drowned in my own salty tears. I awoke with a start and all the guys were standing by my bunk staring at me with wide eyes. Derek was holding my hand in both of his large ones. "Lex are you ok, you were shaking and yelling out." Ryan said. "Yah I'll be fine." I said shakily "Just a nightmare.". They all nodded and gave me a reassuring smile before going back to bed. Derek looked at me before going to leave my bunk. "Derek please don't go." I whispered tightly holding onto his hands. "Of course." he said smiling before sliding into bed. It was an awkward fit, but I felt safe and like no one could ever hurt me. I snuggled my head into his chest and sighed. "Alexis you said something out loud while you were asleep." he said stroking my hair back. "Mmm." I mumbled. "Y-you said that you loved me." he stuttered out. My eyes grew wide and I didn't know what to say. He answered before I even had the chance to say anything back. "I hope you really meant it because I love you soo much that it hurts." he whispered hesitantly. I sat up quickly and smiled wide, squealing with happiness. "Do you really mean that." I whisper yelled at him. He grinned at me before pulling my head towards him and slowly kissing me. I instantly kissed him back and getting on top of him so I was straddling his waist. He held me there firmly and roughened the kiss. Never had I been so happy in my entire life. I kissed his forehead before rolling over onto my bed once again. "Lex since we've gotten this all out in the open, I know this sounds cliche, but will you be with me?" he asked. I returned with a happy yelp. "Of course D I wouldn't want to be with anyone else." I said kissing his cheek. We got comfortable, well as comfortable as you can get when you're laying on a twin sized bunk bed with your a full grown man in a bulky cast on his leg. The slight bumps the bus went over relaxed me and the cool air coming in through the window felt nice. It was the perfect setting to fall asleep into a nice, deep sleep. Derek kept his arms tightly around my waist all night. It was like he was trying to keep me from running away. I kissed his chin before falling into a deep sleep.

The bus dipped in a pot hole and I awoke with a start. Derek was still lying next to me and I quietly maneuvered my way out of bed without waking him. The bus lurched on as I walked into the living room area. Starting a pot of coffee I grabbed my phone and called the hotel we'd be staying at for the weekend while we were here. They picked up and I confirmed our reservation just to be sure. Soon the smell of fresh brewed coffee engulfed the entire bus. It was the most relaxing thing in the entire world. I could hear the guys start to stir, but I knew it'd be another 10 minutes before any of them actually got their lazy asses up. After brushing through my hair I put it into a loose side braid. To my dismay my shorter hair in the front instantly fell out like it always does. I brushed my teeth and washed my face making sure I looked alright so Derek didn't think I was a beast. I looked halfway decent, but I knew I wouldn't look like a ghost after I drank a nice, steamy glass of coffee. Right on time Ryan walked out still looking half asleep. He grumbled a good morning and sat down eating a bowl of lucky charms. Following him was Ronnie, then Mika, and Jacky, last but not least came Derek. "Morning beautiful." Derek said kissing my forhead. I smiled and took another drink of my liquid heaven. It was loaded with spoonfuls of sugar and tons of creamer. What can I say I have a sweet tooth. "We'll be at the hotel in like an hour, so make sure all your things are packed up and ready to go." I said standing up and putting my glass in the sink. They all groaned, but they still got up and went to pack up all their things that were scattered around the bus. I laughed to myself, They're all my bitches.
