I woke up and it was the next day already, I had been moved to X's bed. "you feel better babygirl?" he said rubbing my back. "yes" i said. "shit. i have to go home" I said "my moms probably worried.. uhhh put on something nice but not too nice, im wearing my other clothes."

"you're meeting my mom baby" I said

"they're not racist, but you do wanna make a good impression" i said

we got dressed and left.

when I got home I grabbed Jahsehs hand, and took a deep breath. "Mom? Dad?" I called

"In the den" mom said

"Hey this is my boyfriend. Jahseh. Uhhh I'm sorry for not coming home, I got drunk at the concert on Friday met this fine gentleman and I rode to his house and well--" I said

"I told her to sleep in my bed and I slept on the couch, she got up yesterday and said her head hurt and she wanted to sleep it off." jahseh finished

"she got hungover, Joanne" my dad said

"I told you this Mark." Mom said. "it's okay honey, I knew it would happen. as long as your safe, I'm fine." She said

"what concert did you go to again?" she asked

"an xxxtentacion and ski mask the slump god concert" I replied

"good god the xxxtenason one sounds like a male pornstar, and the skier one sounds like a robber" she said

"speaking of which, mom. this is also xxxtentacion, formerly known as X." I said

"the man himself huh?" my dad said

"yes sir!" jahseh said

"well come come, you too must be starving." mom said.

everyone followed her, she had mashed potatoes, corn, steak, and dinner rolls. we sat down and made our plates.

"Daddy, please pass the salt" I said

Jahseh and my father both reached for the salt.

I started choking on my food, I coughed and gestured to the bathroom. I went in there and took a swig of water from the faucet and laughed quietly for like 3 minutes. I went back out. "my goodness, was something that funny?" My mom asked. "no, no, no, i uh swallowed it and it went down the wrong pipe" I said and continued eating. Then after that I said "Mom, I'm gonna stay at Jahseh's place tonight, it's already 6. I got up super late" And grabbed Jahseh's hand. "Okay, love you!" She said. "Love you too!" I said and closed the door behind us. "Okay that was funny as hell" I said. "No, that was embarrassing." he said. "Babe you wanna drive? I asked throwing him the keys. "it wasn't a question, you're driving" I said getting in the passenger seat. We were closer and closer to his house. "How about we watch Netflix and eat?" He suggested. "Sure" I replied. It was quiet for a few seconds then X grabbed my thigh.
