"You're going to use the child against Xerxes?"

"No. In fact, Xerxes wouldn't have anything to do with the babe. He'll never see it, converse with it, much less interact with it. The child would not know of its father."

"Then what's your purpose of stealing it?"

"Do you know the extent of what a child is willing to go through just for its mother?"

Adelaide huffed a breath with every string the woman behind her pulled on her corset. She had been fussed and bathed by the ladies as they muttered underneath their breaths about the outstanding libido of the king, making her fluster and blush down till her chest when the memory of their last copulating, before the women had hastily entered the room, passed through her head. After her clean up, they had quickly ushered her to have her hair dried by the fire and have one of the maids pick up the dress that the king had deemed worthy enough for her to wear whilst he too prepared for the evening.

The top half was black in coloring with gold intricate designs on them. It probably only came up to the top of her bosom, and whilst her arms and wrists were going to be covered, the dress would leave her shoulders and collarbones bare for the whole country to see. The skirt itself was made from different dark colorings of tulle, and small pearls were added to make it look like the stars in the sky, twinkling by the firelight in the room. Adelaide was looking forward to wearing it, and she hoped her beast would be satisfied with what he will see.

Xerxes, meanwhile, kept an ear on them from the adjoined room in the chamber, his movements turning swift when he heard his queen struggling to evenly breathe. He dismissed the servants with a thunderous demand and walked towards Adelaide, taking the strings out of its designated holes. His little love sighed in relief and sagged from her uptight posture. He himself laced the silk ties together, careful to not pull too harshly and just enough so that his Dela won't have any difficulty throughout the whole night. He spun her around to face him and helped her put on her dress, seeing it perfectly fit her slim curves almost made him change his mind in attending the feast happening below them.

Kohl was added to surround her eyes, making it look larger than it was before, intensifying the look of innocence on her beautiful face. And her lips, the Mother have pity on him, looked so lustfully irresistible with the red paste that's been added to the soft skin he loved to kiss so much.

"It should be a sin to look this exquisite, my queen. I dare say, that the Luna has favored me too much for Her to give me you." Xerxes smirked, his powerful hands caressing her dress clad body.

"Do I look presentable enough, my king?" She wondered worryingly. "This will be the first time that I'll be meeting your people."

The king scoffed. "You shouldn't be fretting yourself over this, my queen. As a matter of fact, they should think themselves lucky that I would even let them be near your vicinity this early on in your return." He finished with a small growl in the end, causing the sides of Adelaide's lips to twitch up into a slight smile. She was still nervous, anxious of what they would say about her. Xerxes is strong, handsome, a leader, a beast, and most of all, he is a king.

So what would they feel when they see him with someone like her?

"Look at me, my sweet." He said to her. "They shall not judge you, nor do they have the right to, and they know that. They've learned to never question their king and they will not start now. But if they do, I swear on the goddess Herself that the last thing they will see is me holding their still beating heart in my hand."

"Don't you think that is too much?" Adelaide asked perturbed.

Xerxes kissed her roughly, pulling away to leave her faintly disoriented and nipped her lip. "They didn't entitle me the Beast King for nothing, my little love."

Different kinds of species interacted noisily with one another. The recently recurred soldiers had discarded their armors whilst their families were dressed in their most lavish clothing, delighted to have been invited to dine and dance amongst the presence of their king.

The feast had begun for quite some time and most of them were starting to wonder where the terrifyingly gorgeous king was; more specifically the unmated females in the banquet.

"Did you hear?" One of the women, a vampire, asked their growing cluster. "They say that a girl was brought by a lycan to the King Xerxes, and word had spread that he had taken an unusual liking towards her and that he's possibly planning to keep her."

"That can't be!" Another gasped, a niece to one of the guards. "You know our king, he likes to play. And I heard from Dorea's mother that he's been taking young maids to his bed to, ahem, ravish them."

"Oh, what I wouldn't give to be defiled by a man like him."

They all sighed dreamily, fanning their cheeks as they imagined how quite much like a fairytale it would be if they were to be taken by the king.

"The girl you speak of is probably forgotten now, he's gotten his fill." A female beast grinned. "Now, I'll let you all in on a secret, but I think this feast is actually a motive for finding himself a potential bride!"

"It could be one of us!"

"Yes, yes! There's plausible outcome that it could me!"

"Or me!"

"Ladies, please, tone down your excitements." A male voice complained. "And honestly I highly doubt that the king would even look once your way when he has a beautiful little miss at his side."

They parted to let the dark haired man enter into their circle, arms crossed in defense against what he had said. "And who are you, might I ask? And how are you so sure of that?"

"I, my vexatious ladies, am the lycan that has delivered the most precious gift of all of Tronos to the Beast King." Damian told them rather smugly and pointed towards the large doors as the people inside hushed their voices down when it opened. "And I believe that there is your proof."
