Chapter Twenty: Disaster

*Third Person P.O.V*

Ayato left the mansion. Yui went to look for him to forgive him and to be forgiven. Subaru watched over little Mayonaka for Yui.

*Two hours later*

She found Ayato in a crowded place. Ayato saw her but didn't rush towards her. She ran up to him and hugged him.

He didn't hug back. "W-What's wrong?" Yui asked.

"N-Nothing." He said obviously lying.

"No. Tell me..." she looked deep into his green eyes, "please."

"Fine." He sighed, "how can you forgive him after what he did!?! He's a liar!" He said on the verge of yelling.

Yui cupped his face with her hand, "He's your brother Ayato. You can't hate him forever. Also he's my dear friend. I don't want to lose him just because he did something horrible. I mean we all did horrible things. Do you remember when we first met? You weren't exactly a delightful person." She explained.

He averted his eyes to the ground. Avoiding eye contact. "I suppose you're right... but that doesn't dismiss what he did. I almost lost you!" He tried not to tear up.

Yui put her hand on his chin forcing him to look at her, "I know.. but we need to forgive. We don't need to forget but forgive we shall." She smiled slightly.

"I don't think I can just yet..." he frowned.

"It will take time." She said calmly.

They started walking home but Ayato went ahead. He didn't notice she was behind.

She bumped into a tall man and he got mad and pushed her harshly to the side.

She stumbled and ended up falling in the middle of the street.

Ayato got angry and punched the man, "That's not how you treat a lady you bastard!"

"O-Ouch I think my ankle is sprained." She whispered to herself. As she tried to pull herself back up again she didn't notice a speeding car.

"YUI!"
