Chapter Nineteen: Forgiven

*Yui's P.O.V.*

I was going to walk away when I heard him. I heard Subaru sing.

He says save me. Save me.
She says Maybe, maybe.
She starts to turn away
When he says hate me, break me.
Let me feel as hurt as you.
Push me, crush me.
But promise me you'll never let us go..

I walked up to where he was sitting. I bent down and I hugged him. "I can't believe you remember" I sobbed.

"How could I forget?" He smirked with guilt in his voice. I couldn't help but forgive him.

"You know you did do something wrong." I cupped his cheek with my hand, "But I forgive you."

He looked into my eyes then put his head in the crook of my neck. "I don't deserve your forgiveness." His voice cracked.

"Maybe so but I'm giving it to you." I stroked his silky white hair.

"But... why?" He mumbled. I stayed quiet.

I started to sing.

And I've lost who I am.
And I can't understand
Why my heart is so broken,
Rejecting your love.

"Do you remember this song? It was the one we first bonded over. You'll always be in my heart Subaru. You'll always be my dear bestfriend." I hugged him.

"Thank you Yui." He replied with a kind smile.

I nodded my head then turned around to get up and walk away. I suddenly felt Subaru hugging me..
