•Chapter 6•

You let out a sigh as you look around quietly the classroom is empty and you open the window letting on the cool air. Due to Rin getting in trouble, yet again, you have to wait in this specific classroom which has been completely de-demonized for Yukio. The night was rough when Ryuji took you back to your room. All your could do was toss and turn, hardly any sleep. You head rolls slightly as far away birds tweet happily in a tune. "So sleepy." You mutter and yawn and stretch your arms out. "Common Yukio."

"Y/N?" You jump and turn around to see Takishi. "Hello."

"Wow I haven't seen you for a while." You mutter and he chuckles as he walks into the room and stands along beside you. "What have you been up to?"

"Ahhh, just talking to my girlfriend. She's pissed because I have to cleanup today in the art class." He mutters and you raise an eyebrow. "I finished cleaning it though."

"Shouldn't you go tell your girlfriend?" You ask and he nods as he sighs.

"I did. She already took off with her friends." He mutters and frowns. "So I was ready to feel sorry for myself and head on to my room, but I happened to see you all lonesome in this classroom."

"It's in my bloodline to be lonesome. Literally all marriages in this family end in divorce. You should see the family reunions."

"That's sad." He whispers and you nod as you look around the room. "This was the old play room. This is where the people in the club who meet to discuss there plays." He says and you nod softly as you touch the board. "Yeah, those two actually got married. Hardly ever hear about them anymore though."

"I wonder why." You mumble and he shrugs as Yukio slides into the room in a rush. "Hello there."

"So sorry Y/N! I had a meeting with the principal about Rin." He smiles at you and looks over to Takishi.

"Howdy." He says and you glare at him. "What?"

"Never say that to me, unless you are a ruthless little yellow bastard." You mutter and he blinks softly.

"I guess I'm determined to make you laugh."

"With horrendous puns?"

"Exactly." He says and you shake your head as you grab you backpack and wave goodbye. "See ya around Y/N."

"Bye bye Takishi." You say and follow Yukio out of the door and down the hallway. "I think I made a friend."

"I'm happy for you." Yukio chuckles and you look up smiling at him happily. "It's good to have friends."

"Ahh I bet you have a ton of friends! All the kids in the class love you." You cheer and he looks down sadly.

"Yeah, but those aren't really friends." He says and you glance over at him. "I mean real friends Y/N. The ones that laugh at you when you get hurt but help you up and dust you off. The ones that are allowed to insult you but if someone else does then they'll fight them. Rin, he's my only true friend."

"What about everyone else in the class?" You ask and he looks up thinking.

"I actually have no idea what they think of me. Pretty sure I'm just a teacher to them Y/N." He says and smiles at you quickly. "Oh but what am I talking about? This is all nonsense!" He nods and pops his fingers as he stops at the doorway. "Let's go." He says and opens the door as you stay silent and wonder what he meant.

"MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM." You howl gently in her ear.

"Y/N, what are you doing?" She asks as you jump off the bench and point to the small fair. "The summer festival?"

"You also told me I wasn't aloud to yell because I say weird things." You state and she pats your head as she walks across the street and you smile.

"Now, here's you some money."She says and she hands you some money. "Stay right by-"

You were already gone.

You take off through the crowd giggling happily. You look over to the fish scooping game and press your nose against the glass making your best fish face. "What are you doing?" The store man asks and you wiggle your eyebrows.

"I'm becoming one with the fishes." You mumble and he chuckles handing you a scoop. "What's this for?"

"Would you like to have a try?" He asks and you look at the money. "I'll give you a free try!"

"What a kind man you are Mr. Fishman." You say and he laughs more as you hold the scoop in your hand and peer inside. "What do I do?"

"You try to scoop out a fish." He says and you nod dunking the scoop in and chasing the fish. "Oh my...." The paper scoop goes soggy and you frown throwing it into the trash can.

"I think that was a default thing." You mutter and a boy laughs at you. "Who are you?" You ask and he steps out of the shadows.

"You can't just dunk it in there." He says and hands the man a coin as he hands him a scoop. "Watch and learn." He moves the scoop around in the water but he's not quiet fast enough and soon the paper scoop is the same as yours.

"Oh holy fish expert, you suck." You state and he glares at you as he tries again, and again he fails. He continues to try but fails miserably , again and again. "Are you done?"

"Let me try." Another boy pops out and he gets on his tippytoes peering inside the tank. The man hands him a scoop and the boy skillfully catches a fish, his scoop without a drop. "Here you go."

"Whoa! You're great!" You cheer and the man puts the fish in a bag. The boy extends the back to you and you stare. "Wasn't that your fish though?" You ask and he nods as he pushes up his glasses. "Why are you handing it to me?"

"You wanted a fish right?" He asks and you nod and he holds it out. "Here you are."

"I-I can't." You say and holds up your hands shaking them. "It's yours."

"I propose a deal. I will name him and you can care for him for me." He says and you look at him. "Is that okay?"

"Um... I don't know." You mumble and he leans forward. "Will you come check on him?"

"Yes." He says and you nod as he looks at the fish. "Whale."

"Whale?" You ask and he nods handing Whale to you. "H-hello Whale."

"Y/N! There you are!" You turn to see you mom and she glares. "You took off before I had the chance to tell you DON'T take off!" She shouts and you hold up the fish. "Huh?"

"Meet Whale." You say and she looks over to the man and then the two boys. "This is Whale's owner but he can't care for him so he asked me to."

"I see..." She says and he looks at her. "You and your brother could come and check on him anytime. Y/N, just moved here and doesn't have very many friends."

"Not even very many. I have zero, I'm a lonely person. A child in the wind." You state and she rolls her eyes.

"Would you come and visit him? I can take you home after you are done."

"Yes." They bot say and smile at your mom happily.
