•Chapter 16•

You walk down the hallway, Takishi at your side as you listen to the bustle of students. Izumo and Moriyama walk behind you, and you sigh quietly as you glance back at them. "Oh yeah Takishi, how did the talk go?" You ask and he hums happily and shrugs.

"Oh yeah! She dumped me!" He says and you stop looking at him eyes wide. "Y/N? You okay?"

"You broke up?" You ask and he looks down shrugging.

"Well she dumped me, but I'm actually really happy! I feel so free!" He shouts out and smiles at you. "And it's all thanks to you!"

"No way! I don't want to be the cause of your guys breakup!" You bark and he gives you a smile.

"If it wasn't for you, I don't think I would be so happy right now! I really dodged a bullet with that one!" He says and smiles at you. "So cheer up!"

This wasn't the first time you were the cause of someone's breakup, believe it or not, Ryuji had a girlfriend before. She was terrible, and he never noticed until one day she shoved you down a flight of stairs. Apparently he went through the schools videos and found out it was her who did it. You had no idea who did it, but he came to the hospital with a big bouquet of flowers and you favorite food and begged you to forgive him.

"Y/N?" Takishi asks and you shake your head and smile slightly.

"I'm happy I was able to help." You say and he smiles big and wide as you walk into class and you put all your focus on that.

After morning classes end, you find Ryuji leaning against the wall outside your class. You walk over to him and he holds up a grocery bag with food. "Lets go." He says and you frown as he leans down. "What is it?"

"I feel bad, Takishi and his girlfriend broke up." You mutter and he leans down peering at you.

"So?"

"They broke up after I told him to go talk to her!" You bark and he throws his jacket on top of your head. "H-hey!"

"Don't do that." He whispers harshly and you stop and peek under the jacket. "Don't you dare cry." You feel him grab the edge of your jacket and pulls you away. You walk up a couple of stairs and he opens a door. The wind blows and you pull the jacket off of you head as he stares out over the school ground.

"Ryuji." You call and he slowly turns looking at you. You eyes burn slightly and he sighs and rubs your head. "It's my fault isn't it?"

"No." He says and you sniffle as he groan and pulls out a tissue from his pocket. "It isn't your fault." He whispers and you nod as you blow your nose. "God you are terrible to take care of."

"Hey!" You bark and he gives you a small smile.

"But, it's okay." He says and you smile slightly as he stretches out his arm and yawns. "Now, lets eat!" He shouts and you nod happily opening the bag pulling out your food.

"That's it for today." Yukio says as he closes his book and Renzo jumps onto your desk staring down at you.

"You heard him Y/N! Lets go on a date!" He cheers and Izumo rolls her eyes as he smiles at you wiggling his eyebrows.

"Wow Y/N, Shima really likes you!" Moriyama laughs as he winks at you and you nod as you stand up and walk to yukio.

"Yukio." You say and he looks over at you smiling slightly.

"What is it Y/N?" He asks and you take a deep breath.

"Have you heard anything from Shura?" You ask and his eyes widen as he shakes his head.

"She's off doing research over past experiences you may have had. Anything that sticks out, she's going to look into it." He states and sticks his hand into his pocket taking out a cloth and pulling his glasses off cleaning them. "She'll be back soon."

"I see." You mutter and he rests a hand on your shoulder.

"Don't worry Y/N." He whispers and you look up to meet his blue eyes. "I will figure out what's going on." He says and gives your shoulder a slight squeeze before turning away and walking out of the room.

"Y/N!" Renzo calls and you turn around smiling slightly. "Common, we all decided to go out to karaoke!" He says and you no and hurry to his side.

You all walk off the school grounds and head to a karaoke bar that's a few blocks away from the school. You get a room and the first to sing is Renzo. You all laugh at each other as you sing, you even get Ryuji to sing a little bit.

You nod along to Moriyama's song and Ryuji plops down beside you sighing quietly. "It's not fair for you to force me and then not even sing." He says glaring at you and you laugh quietly.

"What are you saying?" You ask and he shrugs holding the book to you and showing you a song. "You wanna do a duet?"

"We ruled this song back in the day." He says quietly watching Moriyama twirl about and you shake you head smiling at him. "So, what do you say?"

"You're on." You say and he gives you a wide smile as you stand up and he stands up with you. "Good job Moriyama!" You say and she smiles then looks at you.

"Are you going to sing now?" She asks eyes shining and you nod as you elbow Ryuji.

"We are doing a duet." You state and her eyes widen and she smiles brightly.

"How cool!" She cheers and you laugh as you find the song and click play.

The song begins and you start off with the singing, and soon Ryuji joins in as well. The music blares in the room and you feel your heart lighten with the beat of the music. It really brought back memories of middle school, and you look at him laughing as he sings his part. Then you both turn to each other and sing the chorus.

"Stop and rewind!" You both shout and laugh as he bangs into his chest and sings it out as you nod along the the beat. "Savior of soooong!" You shout out and he nods and the son continues.

However, in the corner of the room someone sat watching with an angry face. They looked at you with a bitter face and their arms folded in a huffy way. Their short eyebrows furrowed with rage.
