My heart ached, it felt heavy as it pounded against my chest. 324 always told us we were special, yet I never understood why. The word "love" tickled me. I don't remember my parents, but they loved me. 324 loved us. I love my sister. If love is good, why can it cause so much destruction?

121 was still in shock staring at the blank computer screen.

" 'System EX' stands for system extermination. We have to end the exterminations. So many people have died already, and they continue to die. Let's complete 324's mission and get out of here," 121 whispered.

"Don't you want to talk about..." I started to say.

"No."

"Give me the other hard drive. I still have questions about our family."

"Fine," she said handing me the hard drive.

I plugged the hard drive into the computer, opening the genetic database. I searched for "Balue" and a file popped up. Inside there was all of the information about our parents.

'Chyne Balue, born pure, married to Brock Balue, illegally birthed two children, sentenced to System EX, children sentenced to the number system.'

'Brock Balue, born pure, of Royal Balue bloodline, married to Chyne Balue, illegally breeding, sentenced to system EX, children sentenced to the number system.'

"Search 'Royal Balue Bloodline,'" 121 commented.

I typed in 'Royal Balue Bloodline' and clicked on the first folder to pop up.

'Royal Balue bloodline, founding family of Purity, the only perfectly pure citizens Blood from each descendant can access anything in Purity, no known living members of the Balue bloodline.'

"This is it! This is how we get rid of System EX! This is how we solve the problems in Purity's society! We are royal blood! That's why 324 sent us to fix this; he knew we were of the Balue family bloodline!" I exclaimed "We need to get back to the capital. Grab something sharp; we need our blood."

121 ripped out a staple she found in the binding of a book and followed me out the door.

We headed straight for the capital, trying to avoid any distractions. When we finally got there, I took the staple and pricked my index finger, and 121 copied me. We waited for the blood to bubble up forming a half sphere. I walked to the fingerprint I.D. pad and placed my finger on it. The doors opened instantly, and I cautiously entered, looking side to side for anyone who might stop me. 121 joined soon after me, jogging slightly to catch up to me.

We meandered through the expansive hallways of Purity's center, glancing at the plaques on each door. We stopped at a door titled "System Management".

"This must be it," I whispered.

We cautiously turned the door handle. It needed more blood to override the lock. 121 squeezed her fingertip, and let a drop of blood roll down to the pad. Before we could fully enter the room, we heard shouting behind us, and ran inside as quickly as possible, shutting the door behind us.

"Hold it closed!" Yelled 121 as she attempted to find a lock.

"You don't belong in there, open the door!" A gruff voice from outside the room chorused with two others. The door started shaking as they pounded on it. One of them began shouting at another to get the fingerprint scanner open. 121 fumbled with the keypad on our side of the door.

"Manual override!" She nearly screamed into the pad.

"Override access denied. No identification was shown."

"I can't hold them back much longer!" I yelled at her.

She rushed to prick her finger again. The blood smeared on the lens of the keypad.

"Access granted, what is your command?"

"Override!" She screamed.

"Request to unlock from outer perimeter denied. Balue royal, you sound distressed. Should I alert the authorities?"

"No thank you."

The lock latched firmly into place as I slumped against the door.

"Look for information on the system. They'll probably call for backup soon." I said, still panting from my exertion.

She opened up the computer and searched for System EX. Many results popped up, and she began sifting through them. Now confident that the men on the other side couldn't get through the door, I stood and stretched, before joining 121's search.

"I might have found something," she said slowly, almost as if she were afraid of the words she was speaking. "You might not want to hear it."

"What is it? Just read it out loud, we don't have much time."

"Our grandfather funded the system."
