I get up from my seat as the bell goes for lunch. Usually I'd start messaging Linus but he's only holiday with no WiFi... So I walk to the canteen to get some chips. Just as I enter the hall and arm blocks my path. I look up to see who it is... Jake. Ugh.

Jake is my ex. We broke up about 7 months ago but he keeps trying to get back with me. We dated for about 4 months, I thought he was the sweetest boy in the world. At first anyway. He would pull my chair out for me, hold doors open, always send me good morning messages. Then, after around a month, he started getting a bit distant and forceful. Not much at first, just trying to get me to kiss him when I didn't want to. I always let him because he would say "it's just a kiss". But then it got worse, he started pushing me up against things and forcing his tongue down my throat. Again, I just went along with it. The only time he would actually talk to me instead of being on his phone, he would shout at me and call me names. He called me ugly and fat. I stayed with him because I was scared. Then one day he hit me, because I wouldn't kiss him back. So I ran away. I ignored all of his calls, walked away from him whenever he was around. A few weeks after we broke up, I found out he was cheating on me with another girl, apparently he only wanted me to keep his reputation.

Around two months ago he started messaging me again, telling me how sorry he was for everything. That he missed me and he loved me. He started coming up to me at school, saying he's changed and how he wants me back.

I never told anyone about Jake. I'm too scared to tell Linus because I'm worried about what he'll say.

I try to walk around Jake in the hallway but he's too strong.
"Move." I say, glaring at him.
"Don't make a scene Lucy. I just wanted to talk." he says calmly.
"Well I don't want to talk to you. Ever. So please move out of my way"
"No." He says simply.
Realising he won't move unless I agree to talk to him, I reluctantly nod. A smirk creeps onto his face. He leads me to two empty seats at the nearest table.
"Lucy. Just listen to me. I miss you so much, I realise now that what I did was wrong. I don't know why I did that to you. I've changed. Please take me back, I'll do anything." He looks kind of sad as he talks to me.
"I don't miss you. I've moved on, you're too late. I'm sorry." I say. I get up and walk away. I glance back at him for a second, the sad look on his face replaced by one of anger. The same look he had just before he hit me. I turn away, and carry on walking.

I wish I could talk to Linus about all this, maybe I should've told him...

A/N should she tell Linus about Jake... what will he say? What do you think about Jake - is he really sorry?
